In 2012, impressive league and championship displays by the Dublinroad based side pock marked the year like confetti at a wedding. It has been a laudatory and exciting past season for Lavey. Park and getting to within two points of claiming a win was no mean feat. The club's odyssey towards a 20 point tally in the league was interrupted briefly by defeats to Cuchullains and Killygarry as injuries took its toll. "We were very anxious to do well in the league because of the new system that's in the pipeline for 2013," club chairman Paddy Reilly explained. "Every team wanted to do well in division one and you could tell that from the way the players approached each of the league games. We're delighted with the way things went for us in the league. The lads were very consistent and put in a great effort all year. Fair play to them.
