Dear Friends... Friends... We really are ‘back to the grindstone’! School is in full swing and so are our personal lives, working hard and at the same time being grown and stretched to new levels, in our physical labour and also in our spiritual lives. Maybe it’s better to say, ‘on the Potter’s Wheel’ than on the grindstone, since the finished product will overflow with the glory of God and be made exactly to His specifications! There are eleven students at the Vocational Centre this term, and we are expecting three more, so we will be operating at full capacity. All of them come from lowly, subsistence farming backgrounds. They have been through Afrika Wa Yesu Bible Schools, and are ready to glorify God in their work. The first challenge was dispelling the illusion that unless you are doing some form of ministerial, churchlike or evangelistic work, you cannot be working for the Lord. Truth be told, God created us to worship Him, all the time, in all we do. Our work should be a medium which we use to honour Him and the way in which we work is what brings His presence into our lives, and so into the lives of others. Praise God for the Holy Spirit who speaks to our hearts and the Word which brings revelation to our souls. We are working through the three-week business studies course, and will be starting the woodworking in March. Our translator and administrator on the centre side, Amimo, is attending the six-month course at Inhaminga Theological College. We are excited for him as new dimensions open up before him, and already look forward to his return, he will be changed! Nelson has taken up a position as ‘teacher in training’ for the carpentry course. He has a passion for work and for the students who come through, and the heart of a worshipper. We are grateful for his input and are eager to raise him up to the new standards put before him. We are incredibly blessed to live in an environment where we a challenged spiritually every day, challenged to reach higher, stretch longer, and hunger and thirst for more of God. A visit from Pastor Jacky James helped us incredibly to push through in areas of our lives, his teaching is revelation in a practical manner and put a seal on everything God has been teaching us as a team and individually, as well as encouraged us to keep going, not to stop there! Thank you so much, Pastor Jacky, you’ve marked our year, and thank you Ruwach, for sending him and many more blessings. Together for His Glory,

Chris and Deborah and all at Afrika Wa Yesu Vocational Centre
