FRANK ARNOLD Frank Arnold is one of the foremost abstract figurative painters and sculptors of our time. He is a living master whose paintings and sculpture are in numerous collections worldwide. Guided by his personal mission to turn on a light in the human soul, Arnold shapes the unconscious forms of his deeper mind in dramatic and vivid abstract figurative works. Dividing his time between working studios in San José del Cabo and Mexico City, he has exhibited in multiple galleries and museums throughout The United States and Mexico.

The Story of
The Story of 8 is still partly a mystery to me. It reaches back to my childhood, to a point of self-realization. At the age of 8, I found out I was adopted. The shock of this discovery challenged my image of who I am and my place in this world. At that young age, I made a deal with myself to be selfsufficient. As an artist, my work has come to reflect this commitment. I tell people who see my work and ask for the meaning , “If you really see my art, you will see yourself and from there you may see life itself.” The number 8 is present in each piece I create. It is my connection to my work… 8 is Me.

The Life of
When I first starting painting about my life, I remember hearing a story of the noted psychiatrist, Carl Jung going to his cabin and carving relatives names in the wall. He felt the act of doing this brought him emotionally closer to them. I didn’t see how that was possible, so I took one of my paintings and did something similar to it with my feelings, but I just messed up my painting. To fix what I had done I started creating numbers for meanings which coincidentally corresponded to numerology. I didn’t plan that, and I am not a numerologist, but I do think that information can come to us from places we are not aware of. For me, the number 5 is about deep interest in life, love, and adventure.
