We’re looking for a band of aspiring young film makers to write, film, direct and star in their own film which will have its premiere in our very own cinema at the end of the course.

Develop your basic technical and creative skills in iStop Motion animation.

Discover the basics of audio editing and create your own bass-lines and beats as well as covering all the basics, including turntablism, mixing techniques and digital Djing.

A baby chick is born and thinks the sky is falling down. On the way to tell the King, she meets Henny Penny, Ducky Lucky & Turkey Lurkey, but there’s a shocking surprise! Chicken Licken grows up to be the Little Red Hen and asks her friends to help her make bread, but no one wants to play!

ALL IN JUST 72 HOURS! We challenge you to show the likes of Danny Boyle how it’s done!

During this course you will produce a short animation, learn about voiceovers and frame rates and gain and understanding and appreciation of both image and clay based animation.

Performances, Media and Workshops

Mixed into this recipe of food, puppets and music is the story of Little Red Hen and the sly Foxy Loxy. Will she outwit him and save her stuffing? A spellbinding rendition of three classic Ladybird book stories using puppetry and food!

As if by magic, the shopkeeper appears with an array of costumes, and shows him into the dressing room. Inside is a mysterious door that leads Mr Benn into incredible adventures, full of dragons, princesses and sea monsters…

All Levels Explore the world of clay together learning all about the different hand-building techniques and exciting ways to decorate your clay work. This course also runs as a term-long class. So why not use this day as a taster session first!

Is your child bursting with imagination and energy? Here’s a way to get them involved in loads of different creative activities over the half term week. Every day we’ll be running sessions using different art forms. Children can attend just one session, or as many as they like. If they want to do all week, take advantage of our offer to buy 5 sessions for the price of four.

Ages 6-11 years & parent/guardian Join in the creative fun with a series of art workshops that encourage families to look at art in a new way together. Explore a different visual art form each day and learn different techniques and imaginative ways to use 2D and 3D materials.

All Levels As a family, work together to explore techniques such as batik, screen printing, felt making and embroidery and create pieces of art to share at home.
