Acclaimed Canadian drama about love and destiny that cuts between the two seemingly unconnected lives of a devoted single mother in 1960s Paris and a successful DJ in present day Montreal.

Tim Burton directs a horror comedy film based on the 1966-71 gothic soap opera of the same name. An imprisoned vampire is accidently set free and returns to his ancestral home, where his dysfunctional descendants are in need of his protection.

The Man Who Fell to Earth

Classic Ealing comedy in which residents of Pimlico in London declare independence, following the discovery of an old treaty. Complications and difficulties quickly arise, including the need for a ‘Passport to Pimlico’.

A humanoid alien comes to Earth on a mission to bring water back to his home planet, which is experiencing a catastrophic drought. This cult classic is based on Walter Tevis’ novel of the same name, and sees David Bowie in his first starring film role.

The final film in Sokurov’s cinematic tetralogy of films about the nature of power, the previous three based on historical figures Adolf Hitler (Moloch), Vladimir Lenin (Taurus) and Emperor Hirohito (The Sun).

Turin Horse (A torinói ló) 15 (154mins)

Director: Béla Tarr Cast: János Derzsi, Erika Bók, Mihály Kormos Hungary | 2011 | Subtitled Tarr’s film recalls the whipping of a horse in Turin by a hansom cab driver, which is rumoured to have caused the mental breakdown of philosopher Friedrich Neitzsche, and is a personal study of the daily life of the cab driver, his daughter and the horse.
