Introducing Macmillan Test Maker Macmillan Test Maker is an online testing tool which enables teachers to build and set unlimited, tailored, timed English tests at the click of a mouse. Tests are taken online and automatically marked. Effective, online assessment has never been more convenient or more affordable. Available in a range of price bands, the Test Maker is suitable for small and large institutions alike.
A wealth of interactive resources Test Maker contains over 1000 exercises, with a total of more than 10,000 questions. You can use the pre-built tests or create your own from the easily searchable resource library of materials. Resources testing general English are available at six levels, from Beginner to Advanced. There are also resources for IELTS, TOEIC®, TOEFL® and the Cambridge suite, enabling teachers to create preparation tests for specific exams. Starting to use the Test Maker couldn’t be easier. First, decide how many students you need it for. The Test Maker is available as a yearly subscription at a range of price bands, making it suitable for small and large institutions alike. User IDs can be recycled and used again by consecutive test-takers. Second, decide if you want branding. This allows you to put your logo in place of Macmillan’s in the top left-hand corner of the website. You can place an order direct at www.macmillantestmaker.com, via your local Macmillan sales rep or through a distributor. You’ll then be sent the weblink, username and password for your Test Maker site.

All tests are marked automatically and question-by-question feedback is available to students and teachers. Corrections are given to help students learn from their errors and allow teachers to see which answer was chosen. Marks are given for the complete test, by skill tested and for individual resources, giving teachers detailed feedback on their students’ abilities.
