For my FMP, I chose to take inspiration from my pre-collection looking at childhood nostalgia through the film Moonrise Kingdom by Wes Anderson. This brought me to focus specifically on the scout uniforms from the film for my FMP and I decided to look back at my own time in the Scouts and the elements of my time there that brought me nostalgia. I decided to focus on heavily accessorised garments, inspired by the badges on scout uniforms, rope knotting and the landscapes that were part of my time in the group. I grew up on Dartmoor in Devon and have a lot of memories of the wide open spaces. This brought on the idea to merge the landscapes of Dartmoor with badges and accessories on my garments. Through looking at heavily accessorised garments, I discovered Japanese Decora fashion. Even though on opposite ends of the spectrum, I found scouting uniforms and Decora fashion had a lot in common when it came to excess accessorising on garments.
