MADDIE ZATKULAK I am a graphic designer and artist and I make some cool stuff. It took me a while to decide what I was passionate about, but it all started in a high school Photoshop class. When I learned that there were people out there making things that were creating emotions by the click of a mouse or a swipe of a pencil and putting meaning into things that were once so ordinary; thats when I found my craving to want to design, and design with purpose.

MACARON MUNCHKINS Branding • Packaging Macarons were first created in France, so when looking for inspiration, most companies stick to a French name and colors that they feel represent Paris. Macaron Munchkins decided to change it up by creating a fun, cute company based off of how cute and sweet little macarons are. We are bringing life to the maracons by adding a touch of France and making French macaron characters that are seen throughout the design. Our colors are bright and playful because thats just how macarons are supposed to be. Green is the main color and really gives it that pop to makes it stand out from all the other bakeries. The type is simple to keep the focus on the playful characters in the logo and through the entire design.
SHOW YOUR MOVES Advertising • Social Media Vans wanted to bring light to Vans by showing their audience the fun, bright, and creative aspect of the brand through the Show Your Moves campaign. This idea brings the audience and brand together by bringing out each individuals personality and sparkle through their Vans. Vans has built its company on risk taking, boldness, and having a unique personality; when wearing a pair, users should feel that boldness and confidence they need to complete there day. The Show Your Moves campaign wants to see everyone’s personality shine. The main event for the campaign is a competition to win a pair of new Vans through their summer collection; bringing the viewers closer to the brand. In order to win, the viewer has to post a picture on Instagram of them in their Vans using the hashtag #showyourmoves. Vans goes through the images and picks which ones to showcase on their Instagram page and to win the competition.
SNAPCHAT Vans created a live Snapchat feed for anyone to post a snap of them or their friends going out and doing something fun and crazy. We filter through them to make sure they are all appropriate and them post them on our feed for all of Snapchat to see.
SAN CISCO Branding • Apparel Design San Cisco is a bold and upbeat indie pop band so the challenge for this project was to make sure the album cover has as much personality as they do. All of the colors are bright and vibrant to express the upbeat music San Cisco produces. All of the interacting colors, lines, and patterns are to portray the personalities of each band member and all the chaos that goes on in an artists life. The chevron puts together all the chaos that is going on in each band members life and unites them.

FLORA Branding • Web Design Flora Organic Herb Farm is based in Oregon and they are all about growing the freshest herbs. Flora stands apart from any other farm because they encourage customers to come out and pick their own herbs. If they can’t make it to the farm they have a website where anyone can order some of their herb seeds and cute containers. To view the full website check out: maddiezatkulak.com/floragardens A lot of farms stick to bright greens that are really distracting and overwhelm the viewer. Flora is different because the colors are calming neutrals that go well with the colors of the outdoors but still stands out.
DIRECT MAIL This gets sent out to everyone in their immediate area and people who have taken interest in Flora Organic Herb Farm. It consists of a special herb seed, information about the farm, and one of their herb jars.

ALLIGATOR FARM Branding • UX/UI • Environmental Design The Alligator Farm is a great tourist attraction for St. Augustine and is fun for all ages. The design challenge was to rebrand the Alligator farm in a way that represents the animals and colors viewers see throughout the park. The colors are all reflective of the alligators and environment they live in. The colors make the farm more interesting and invites more than just the younger crowd. The app is a great way for people to find out about the park, local or any one who is out of town, and it also keeps people engaged with the farm even when they are not physically there with different games. The app also helps viewers get connected to the Instragram page where the farm holds contests on the best photographs to be shown throughout instagram, the website, and the farm.

CHOBANI Advertising • Environmental Design This is an advertising campaign that is reminding viewers that Chobani is a go to snack for any time and on the go. Through the light and colorful colors and imagery, Chobani is creating an inviting campaign that makes everyone crave and think about their product by showing that even the delicious fruit are daydreaming about it. The target audience for this campaign is for younger, mid-college, early career who enjoy relaxing and who sometimes get caught daydreaming at work or school.
ON THE WATER
CAP’S Branding • Web Design This project was all about rebranding a well known restaurant in a small town that just needed some shaping up. It is known for being a nice and casual place with a great view. The colors are picked from the water and the sunset because that is one of the best views anyone can get at Cap’s. The waves are placed into the logo because the restaurant is right on the water and the circle is placed in the logo to represent the sun setting. The restaurant has two bars, one inside and one outside and they serve a couple local craft beers. Which makes for a great opportunity to design one of their own craft beers, “OFF A1A IPA,” this is a catchy name and the directions to get to the restaurant. ASTROBOTS Branding • UX/UI This is an Edutainment app for second graders. It is all about teaching children the same math that is in their curriculum but in a fun and colorful way. The app practices two kinds of math in a game/story telling manner. It also has a customize section where kids can pick their own rocket and robot. The colors are bright and colorful to catch the eye of a young child and the display typeface was chosen to be fun and kid friendly. The robots also tie together the activity book where there are coloring pages and stickers of the robots. There are two other activities within the back and both are fun for just a few children to a whole classroom. The first activity in the Astropack is building yourself into a robot. After dressing up like a robot the children can start the next activity, Astroball. This game is essentially like baseball or kickball but with math questions.
