Headline: At The Beach Donates $25,000 To Feed Needy FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – At The Beach, with the help of a special tanning coupon and customer donations, raised $25,000 in April to help a Denver-based group feed the sick. Project Angel Heart, a nonprofit organization founded in 1991 by dedicated community members, works to provide nutritious meals that improve the quality of life for Denver-area residents living with life-threatening illnesses. In 2012, more than 8,800 people donated more than 57,000 hours of their time to deliver 445,581 free meals to clients’ homes. “We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with At The Beach and their investment in the lives of those fighting life-threatening illness,” Erin Pulling, president and CEO of Project Angel Heart, said. “Over the years, support from At The Beach and their generous customers has helped us prepare and deliver tens of thousands of meals to men, women and children who have nowhere else to turn for their nutritional needs.” On June 12, the At The Beach Cares team went to Project Angel Heart to announce its fundraising total and present the oversized check. “Project Angel Heart lends a helping hand to those who may need a healthy meal,” Brian Belt, CEO of At The Beach, said. “At The Beach has been a proud supporter since 2010, and we are grateful for our loyal customers and their continued support on this project. Together, we were able to expand the work space of Project Angel Heart, and by doing so helped those living with HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening illnesses receive proper nutrition.” At The Beach is involved in multiple charities and causes, such as the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Project Angel Heart and the Colorado AIDS Project. Additionally, it fosters support through its blog, atthebeachcares.com, and provides information at At The Beach locations. The tanning salon chain has grown from one location on the south side of Oklahoma City into a regional chain with more than 70 stores located throughout Oklahoma, Colorado, Kansas and California.
