Content We talked in issue 2 briefly about creative playgrounds, a concept that emphas ises the experimental approach to styles and topics. It can also challenge our habits or skills, as does the Inktober-challenge. Here you create ink paintings daily for the whole Oktober, which requires a) disciplin every day b) being comfortable with a real medium that both evokes memories of stained fingers and sweaters, as well as beautiful painntings, comicks, calligraphy Editorial

and more . Our newletter (issue 5) promissed to show all pictures of Inktober and here it is! We hope you enjoy it, . Maeza

Title Story: Inktober

3

Inktober The challange Inktober was evoked by Jake Parker as an initiative to get into a daily drawing habit. This inspired a lot of artist, both professional and amateurs to pick up that pen and draw. It was my first one-month project, and a first one with global participation. When I heard about it, I was very excited about putting my discipline with drawing to test. I learned a lot!

I chose to develop the story of one of my characters I draw a while ago, a little girl with plaits. She is shy and I wanted her to learn how to get over it. The work on the character got stuck and this was a great opportunity push the development forward. This is the first picture of the cute little girl with plaits. I doodled around and there she was. 4

I made her still look at the girls, because she wants to engage. You can see the tension in her body . Her retreat, the toys. But then the teacher helps her 10

On day 17 I finally had the feeling I got it exactely how I wanted it to look like.

In the last few days I decided to try some new techniques.
