Daily sketches #ink #minimalcolour #journalsketches #adventillustrations #minutesketch I started using instagram and was instantly sucked into the stream of pictures, likes, and followers. It was quicker than facebook, without filters, full of hash tags . With this a new media age started for me. The daily sketch task became a bit more than keep up training. It became my pulse. The urge to stay productive and creative grew and I love it :-)

Publishing on intstagram was very exciting for me. There was at least one person who likes a picture and we have to admit, that we all like that bit of appreciation, just enough to tickle our motivation and keep us going. But, sharing the same picture on facebook did not recieve as much likes as a picture that

This picture evolved from this journal sketch picture, where I captured our untidy bed stuff. I start normally with sketching simple pictures under 5 minutes. When an idea starts pouring out, I follow the flow and add some colour like for this one.

For this adorable autum scene I had the whole picture in my head before I started. I draw all the bushes and branches really dense so that only the little kid could spot the mushrooms. I got the idea for the picture after this training sketch on the right. 7

Journal Sketches—messy rooms I started a new series of sketches in my journal. The idea came with this water colour picture of a messy teenager room: messy, full of stuff, nonrelated things and interessting. Probably I wanted to have a reason to not tidy my desk and living room but it also turned out top be a super good practise to draw all the messy stuff at our home. It trains me to look for the detail that is normaly in the background. If I want to make a realistic picture of a room I need all the details that seem unnecessary but make the picture complete. These sketches are showing some crowded places and details at our home.
