Esther Harvey

Board Member

Esther Harvey is a Career Counsellor at Lynfield College, Auckland, providing Career Guidance, Education and Development to high school students. She is married to Don and they have three adult childrenBlake (and Margaretha, with Willa and Jensen), Jordan and Cadence. The Harveys were posted to Papua New Guinea from 1991 to 2002 being based in Anguganak, Rumginae, Vanimo and Telefomin. They also filled in at other bases from time to time. Don was a pilot and Esther supported Don with administration, home-schooled their three children and provided hospitality to MAF staff on the outstations. On their return from PNG, the family based themselves in Wellington for the children's high school years before relocating to Auckland for work. Esther currently fellowships at GraceCity Church.

Ian McBride

Board Chairman

Ian lives in Te Puke with his wife Nikki They have five children, a growing number of grandchildren and are part of The Orchard Church. Ian is a kiwifruit grower and involved in church leadership and other charitable activities Nikki is a Plunket nurse They served with MAF in Arnhem Land between 1994 and 2005, living in various remote communities as Ian worked as a Pilot They served again between 2007 and 2011, with Ian taking on the role of the Arnhem Land Programme Manager. The work of MAF is very near and dear to Ian and Nikki. They are passionate about the demonstration and proclamation of God's love through their service, alongside God's people in those difficult to reach and sometimes forgotten places of the world
