Drive ‘09 – at the heart of the uk transport industry The Transport Research Laboratory (TRL) will host Drive ‘09. The internationally recognised centre of transport excellence promotes world class research and advises car manufacturers and Government institutions on all aspects of transport. TRL’s test track is located on a secure secluded site providing a carefully controlled and safe operating environment. The track consists of five different sections, the ideal environment to put the latest chauffeur cars and taxis through their paces: n A central area (Pan) – 270m in diameter featuring two circles, 200m and 120m in diameter, ideal for skid pan testing, handling and exhibition. n A long straight of 550m with three lanes 3m wide. n A large loop of 2km, plus a 225m ‘track’ across the central area. n A banked bend enabling vehicles to negotiate the tight bend at speed on the North East corner of the loop. n A small roads system of 2.5km designed to replicate typical urban road conditions.

2009 exhibition Rates Wherever possible we have managed to hold our rates and in a number of areas reduced them when compared to last year’s event.
Space only This type of stand is an un-carpeted, un-dressed space. Pop-up stands cannot be used, and you will need to employ a stand contractor to build a bespoke stand for you. Cost – £125 + VAT per m2
Shell scheme This stand includes walls, name boards and flooring. Here, you will need to dress the walls and hire furniture and power. We can provide you with a list of contractors to help furnish and complete your stand Cost – £220 + VAT per m2 Please note that the minimum stand is 8m2.

QUALITY, SERVICE and INNOVATION are key determents and drivers of success in the professional driving industry. The Chauffeur magazine’s QSI Awards celebrate and reward the people, companies and products that lead their respective fields right across the taxi, private hire, limousine and chauffeuring Industries. The 2009 QSI awards ceremony will be hosted at a luxury venue within a fifteen minute drive of this year’s professional driving event, Drive ‘09 on Saturday March 21st and like last year the awards will be judged by an independent panel chaired by the editor of The Chauffeur magazine.
Will be running a page for entries in every issue up to the close date and thereafter they will be running the shortlist and table booking form in the remaining issues leading up to the awards ceremony itself. Your logo will be added to those promotional pages.
The Sponsorship Opportunity As a category sponsor of the 2009 QSI awards you will enjoy a host of branding and marketing opportunities. Sponsorship includes branding on all marketing materials and communication pieces, including the call for entries, the announcement of the shortlist and the actual awards presentation itself. In addition your company will enjoy a full page colour advertisement in the Awards review issue of The Chauffeur magazine as well as Limo Mart and online in the dedicated QSI awards web site. Your logo will be referenced and linked back to your own web site, generating valuable traffic to your business. Entry forms with your company logo will be distributed at Industry events and emailed to our database of over 30,000 contacts. Each sponsor will receive as part of their overall package one table of ten at the awards evening. These can be used to entertain guests and staff and a representative from your company will be asked to join the compare on stage to present the awards in their particular sponsored category.
Award winner publicity Each winner of the awards will be sent a press release pack within five working days which will contain a worded press release from The Chauffeur magazine editorial team, photographs from the evening, along with information from you as their sponsor. The Chauffeur magazine will further publicise the event by sending press releases to the national press, local TV stations, selected consumer press and release generally on the PR Newswires. All of these press releases will contain your logo and company profile.
The Rules Companies can either enter or be nominated by a third party. Submissions can be made in multiple categories as long as they are eligible. The Chairman of the panel will decide whether an entry is valid for a particular category. The judging panel has the right to withhold any award if in its opinion, no entry is of a high enough standard. Financial figures quoted in an entry should be certified by an auditor or accountant. Every care will be taken with material submitted but none can be returned and no responsibility will be accepted for any loss or damage. Decisions by the judging panel are final. Today Publishing Ltd, the judges and sponsors of The Chauffeur QSI Awards 2009 shall not be held responsible for any legal proceedings arising from the entries or the statements made therein; nor can they accept responsibility for the veracity of statements made by entrants, although every care will be taken to check entries.
