STEP UP STEVE TURNER AND MARK LAWN
Picon has appointed two industry experts to its Council — Steve Turner, managing director of Komori UK , and Mark Lawn, head of Print-onDemand for Fujifilm Europe. Both have been regular attendees at Picon events and both appreciate the value of this trade organisation for print suppliers, especially in challenging times. That includes in the past few years Brexit, Covid and changes in the structure of the industry.
Steve Turner says: “The Picon member companies are diverse in their product ranges, the markets they operate in and the size of their organisations. Picon strives to offer value to all its members, be it: creating opportunities to attend seminars that are interesting, relevant and educational; organising high quality networking events with peers; or providing information and help on employment and training programmes. It is the responsibility of the Council to engage with members, listen to their views and consider how best it can offer support.”
Mark Lawn has a clear vision of the direction he would like Picon to take. “Our www.picon.com
In addition to attending Council meetings, focus groups and networking events both recognise that they will be “on call” to ensure that Picon continues to offer an environment which encourages informed discussion and debate, sparks ideas and helps members navigate the challenges facing them from recruitment through to energy and waste.
