ACADEMIC Pupils follow a broad, balanced programme of study including all traditional academic subjects as well as the creative arts and technology. In Year7 and 8 all pupils are able to experience our ‘Tech Carousel’. This includes Art, Photography, Food Tech, Engineering and Textiles. The ‘Tech Carousel’ continues into Year 9 with an element of choice, allowing pupils to focus on the areas that they wish to develop most. In Year 9, over half the year group elect to take the Higher Project Qualification which is an independent research project that develops intellectual curiosity and key skills needed to develop academic rigour. We are very proud of all that our pupils achieve at GCSE and A Level, where there are over 20 subjects offered and outcomes are excellent. SPORT Sport plays a big part in school life, with a brand new All Weather Pitch being adding to the fantastic facilities this summer. Existing facilities include an impressive Climbing Wall, large 18
