R Young Art Gallery

R Young Art Gallery is a newly opened, high-end Gallery situated within the heart of Wokingham. Owned by artist Richard Young, the gallery showcases the work of eleven talented and established artists and sculptors, many of whom are local.

In November, we kicked off the first of our creative events with a workshop teaching people how to paint more expressively. This was run by one of the artists that we represent, Daren Mason. It was extremely popular and a huge success. Richard ran the next class in December which was an introduction to painting with a palette knife. During the class he guided participants and helped them to create their own beach scene which they then took home. He promised them that ‘’buttering toast will never be the same again’’ to which everyone agreed! It was a relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable evening for all.

Suitable for absolute beginners, hobbyists, a team building exercise or as a group activity with friends, our classes are the perfect way to meet like-minded people and learn a new skill whilst having fun. Classes are held within the gallery which offers a contemporary, stylish setting with comfortable seating for up to twelve people. Duration of class is two hours during which time refreshments are available. Tickets can be purchased by visiting the Gallery or online where a calendar of upcoming events is also available.
