TRADITIONAL REFINEMENT
from Build & Renovate 25
The clients wanted a spacious ensuite with an air of traditional refinement and elegance, and it is exactly what Christchurch designer Davinia Sutton, of Detail by Davinia Sutton, delivered. The tessellate tile floor with a palette of warm white and charcoal tiles provides a strong feature and sets the tone for the bathroom. Paired with the hand glazed, brick bond wall tiles, it adds a graphic quality to the space. The bespoke vanity unit is formed from aged steel with a stained oak interior and polished granite top. The white vessel vanity bowls provide a fresh pop. Traditional refinement
The room’s wow factor is the spacious double shower with its floor-to-ceiling glass in a black steel surround. The shower includes twin slide showers, tiled soap recesses and a drop-down channel drain. The design won the Supreme Bathroom Design first runner up award at the NKBA 2019 Excellence in Design awards. Title of bathroom: Traditional Refinement 2. Designer: Davinia Sutton of Detail by Davinia Sutton. Region: Canterbury. Awards: Supreme Bathroom Design first runner up, CDS Bathroom Design. Davinia Sutton
