Dorset Chamber Invests in Audio-Visual Conference Room Making Zoom & Microsoft Teams meetings more accessible for Dorset Chamber members. Having recently joined Dorset Chamber, Yury Desiderio – Managing Director of Walcom Integration soon found himself in conversation with Steve Bulley about how they could help add value for the membership. Recognising that the boardroom could have its value increased beyond a simple meeting room. With the current climate being what it is budget was always a consideration, however, Walcom Integration was able to propose a solution that not only met Dorset Chamber’s budget but also gave them more than they had perhaps anticipated. The proposal included not only re-utilising the existing TV Screen but with the addition
of a mini-computer and a combined Smart Soundbar, the boardroom now could operate in a number of different ways. This now means that the Boardroom can operate as a Video Conference facility as well as being able to manage the regular Chamber Zoom Network Events. The integrated Soundbar, microphones and camera really does come into its own when there is an online conference in progress as there is no need for additional microphones, the camera can be activated to auto frame the person speaking or it can be set to the optimum view of the room with an exceptional wide angle of image capture. Teams meetings for the Chamber or any of the membership are also an added bonus as they can use their own logins through the ‘Guest Wi-Fi’ at Dorset Chamber. Outside of it being a better meeting space, it is now an in-house facility where Steve or any member of Dorset Chamber’s team can work, logged into their own system, to make calls or plan for meetings and presentations. This saves disruption in the office and avoids the use of personal computers for Dorset Chamber operations helping also to maintain security. So, all round a win, win for Dorset Chamber and for one of the newest members, Walcom Integration.
