ILLUMINATION of Outer Ring Road
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has taken up the project “Illumination
of Outer Ring Road” to enhance the safety of road users on the Main Carriage way, Service roads,
Interchanges and Vehicular/Pedestrian under passes. It was approved by the Govt. of Telangana and
has been successfully completed.
It is the country’s first longest illuminated ring road with a length of 158Km which can be switched
on asynchronously with GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) based Automation system.
We wish to thank The Hon’ble Special Chief Secretary, MA & UD Dept. & Metropolitan Commissioner,
HMDA Sri Arvind Kumar, I.A.S. and The Hon’ble Managing Director, HGCL Sri Santhosh B.M, I.A.S. for
