Regular meals are becoming difficult to find at airports. It's unlikely you'll have the time at the airport to find something nutritious. Be sure to carry a few bars to hold you until you can eat a regular meal again. Most people should eat eight ounces of meat daily, and lean meat is the best way to meet that requirement. That will ensure that you are getting adequate iron and protein. Lean meats like chicken, turkey or venison are preferable. Eat various kinds of protein during your week. Choose lean meats, skinless poultry and fish. Eggs are are good source of protein. Recent studies have demonstrated that a single egg each day does not adversely impact an individual's health. Every week, go one day without meat. You can add protein to your meatless meals with nuts, beans, peas, tofu, cheese and many other interesting options. Create fruit smoothies. The ones at stands or in stores have lots of calories. By making your own, you can control its nutrition. By making your own, you can use the ingredients you prefer. Try some of the following in your smoothies: bananas, skim milk, protein powder, yogurt, and fresh or frozen berries. Limit how much you use the microwave for optimal health. Feel better by eating the most natural foods possible. Cook your vegetables in water rather than oil in order to decrease your fat consumption. You will find that steamed or boiled vegetables are just as good as friend vegetables. If you need an oil, use a bit of vegetable oil versus margarine or butter.
