ZCREATIONS Z-Creations is the division within De Zetel focused on creating seating for the hotel and catering industry and for individual projects. This important and demanding segment of the market can reap myriad benefits from the company’s decades of craftsmanship and for this reason, Z-Creations collaborates with hand-picked creative talent for product and interior design.

Alongside annually launching a selection of new products, Z-Creations has also emerged as an innovative project partner and a point of reference for the trade and designers. The “Z” refers to Gerrit Rietveld’s zig-zag chair and is a metaphor for the thought process behind creating equilibrium between functionality, aesthetics and price.

BOB VAN REETH bOb Van Reeth is an iconic Belgian architect. The éminence grise of Flemish architecture has devised a number of impressive projects, both in Belgium and abroad. His 50-year career was in 2013 the subject of a retrospective at the Centre for Fine Arts (BOZAR) in Brussels. His work includes the Kazerne Dossin Holocaust museum in Mechelen, Java Island in Amsterdam and Huis Van Roosmalen – known as the

black-and-white-striped zebra house – and Zuiderterras in Antwerp. In 1971, the architect and urban planner founded AWG (Architect Work Group). He also lectures in Ghent, Antwerp, Tilburg and Delft. Van Reeth was appointed as the very first Flemish Government Architect, a title that he held for 10 years until 2005. He designed the T-Bone collection for Z-Creations.

T-BONE The T-Bone collection has a strong graphic design component in keeping with bOb Van Reeth’s architectural style. The collection is the outcome of a detailed study of forms leading to sculpted flared legs which add an overall sense of lightness to the solid wood chairs. Thanks to the cohesive proportions and meticulously thought-out joining details
T-BONE BOB VAN REETH
T-Bone is a tasteful, timeless and authentic collection which bears the signature of one of Belgium’s most influential architects and talented creative thinkers. The T-Bone collection was also incorporated in the recently renovated Abbey of Saint Sixtus in Westvleteren, for which bOb Van Reeth designed the plans.
