An Overnight Trip to Fall City.

It’s 45 minutes East of Seattle and has a lot of sweeping pastures surrounded by thick forest. Stay at a place called TreeHouse Point. It’s basically a hotel made of about a dozen tree houses.

Crunchy Granola Preheat oven to 325 Mix together in a large bowl: ½-1 Cup coconut shavings 4 Cups rolled oats 1 Cup sunflower seeds 1 Cup wheat germ ¼ Cup sesame seeds 1 Cup chopped walnuts or pecans Bring to boil: 1 Cup honey ½ Cup oil 1 Tablespoon Cinnamon Pour honey mixture over the rolled oat mixture and mix thoroughly. Add your choice of dried fruit such as raisins, dried apricots, and dried apples for some extra sweetness and tang.

Day Trip on a Ferry from Downtown Seattle to Bainbridge Island.

I like to ride my bike onto the ferry, because it’s under $10 round trip and all the cool stuff on the island is easily accessible via bike. There is an awesome locally owned bookstore across the street from a fantastic rustic style bakery called “Blackbird Bakery.” If you are there and wanting lunch, the best fish and chips in the pacific northwest is another 1/2 mile ride up a quaint road to a place called Harbour Public House.

Organic Rejuvenating Facial Mask You will need: 1 Avocado (ripe) 1 Kiwi (ripe) 1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Honey 2 Vitamin E Capsules 2 Primrose Oil Capsules Take a small bowl and use it to combine the mashed avocado, the egg white and the lemon juice. Mix all ingredients using a wooden spoon until you create a smooth paste. After cleansing your face, apply the mask onto your entire face making sure to avoid the eye area. Keep it on for 20 minutes, rinse it off with warm water and proceed with your usual facial care routine. This recipe should make enough product for 3-4 mask applications.

Infinity Scarf You will need: 2 ply Merino Wool 10 mm Crochet Needle Patience For this simple infinity snood wth fringe we used 3 skeins of 2ply merino wool, a size 10mm needle, and a misty afternoon alone on the front porch. What we like most about this basic pattern is it’s clarity and restraint. Start with a slip knot and continue making50 chains. Loop back around and continue this for 20 rows. When finsihed with the rows connect to the two ends. Then cut 10 strands of your 2ply yarn to knot through the bottom of the scarf.
