NORTH SHORE SENIOR CENTER 161 Northfield Road Northfield, IL 60093 847-784-6000 Executive Director: Tish Rudnicki, MSW nssc.org North Shore Senior Center (NSSC) is a nationally accredited organization that empowers older adults, their families and the community through an array of social service programs and services that enable older adults to live safely and independently. NSSC provides specialized adult day services for people with memory loss, support groups for older adults and their family caregivers, benefits counseling, adult protective services for victims of abuse or neglect, general case management, friendly visiting, home-delivered meals, housekeeping services, hospital screenings to evaluate patients’ care needs upon discharge, therapy and counseling, private care management, daily money management and wellness education. Social service offices are located in Northfield, Niles, Glenview and Evanston. North Shore Senior Center is accredited by CARF.

NORTH SHORE SENIOR CENTER AND HOUSE OF WELCOME ADULT DAY SERVICES 1779 Winnetka Road Northfield, IL 60093 847-242-6250 how@nssc.org North Shore Senior Center (NSSC) is headquartered in Northfield and serves and engages more than 23,000 older adults and their families each year throughout Chicago’s northern suburbs. This nationally accredited organization offers a comprehensive suite of services, including a wide array of social services, specialized care for people living with dementia, private care management, educational and wellness programs, and volunteer opportunities. NSSC’s continuum of services provides for older adults from the most independent to those needing more support. Located in Northfield, its House of Welcome Adult Day Services provides specialized therapeutic care for people living with memory loss and their families, including a Day Program, a program for those with early memory loss and an Alzheimer’s family support group. In addition to its flagship location in Northfield, NSSC has social services offices in Niles, Glenview and Evanston. Social services staff visits clients in their homes and in senior housing buildings. NSSC also offers hospital screenings to evaluate patients’ care needs upon discharge in six area hospitals: Lutheran General, Skokie, Evanston, Glenbrook, St. Francis and Holy Family.

NSSC is accredited through the National Institute of Senior Centers of the National Council on Aging. Its social services and adult day services are accredited by CARF.
