An update from the House Committee We want to highlight the changes in dining with our update facilities: 1. Reservations are strongly recommended, especially when dining indoors or on the patio. With a full membership, it can be a challenge to get food through the kitchen. The added seatng indoors, coupled with more seating at the pool, with robust demand at the 19th hole, has led to changes to improve overall service. 2. To improve some ticket times, there will be a “quick bite” menu of appetizers that can be turned quickly if looking for a quick nosh. 3. To further improve food service, the food service will be divided between two kitchens. Indoor/patio dining and the Turn/Pool/19th hole menu. The Turn/ Pool/19th hole will have most of your favorite food items including salads, sandwiches, wraps, and fries. The indoor/patio will be a full dinner menu. Full dinner menu items will not be avilable for the turn/ pool/19th hole areas.

The new room to be named soon has been well recieved. Because of timing, there are still a number of improvements to come soon! - The furniture that is in there presently is the future new banquet chairs. The grill furniture is in transit and expected in the Charleston port sometime in the next 30 days. -We are in the process of evaluating artwork for the entranceway, grill, and Ladies Powder Room. We have a great committee with a lot of ideas. -Lastly, it truly takes a village to make improvements for the betterment of the entire club taking into effect new technology, style,m wearability, and affordability. We have had some members go aboce and beyond for the benefit of their fellow members in helping with the facility. Thank you to the following Maketewah members for their help: Paul Tucker - Orange CHAIR FURNITURE Brad Rutenschroer - KBR Meg Keim - MEG KEIM DESIGNS David Arends - CR ARCHITECTURE Please Enjoy! Fitness 101 By Paul Bodenbach
Massage is often overlooked as a modality to help our body. Many times regular massage us looked upon as a luxury instead of a method for good health. The massage one recieves at a vacation spa will have some limited benefits. However, a deep tissue massage has numerous benefits to the body and should be considered as a regular part of a good health routine. We’re all familiar with the relaxation a massage provides. In addition, it can provide relief from pain, stress, and lead to enhanced rest. Deep tissue massage also breaks up adhesions in muscle tissue which allows the muscles to work more efficiently. It will increase blood flow essesntial for soft tissue recovery. The flow of the lymphatic system is also increased which removes toxins abd waste products from the body. In turn, muscles are more relaxed, more efficient, and joint mobility is increased. The result is a body that works better, recovers more quickly, and doesn’t hurt nearly as much. So, don’t look at massage as a luxury. Instead, view it as an essential part of total health plan. As important as strnegth, flexibility, and proper nutrition. However, this one feels great when it’s completed.
