Around Glass house Electorate with Mr Andrew Powell M.P. The 2023 Budget numbers don’t lie

.In 2015 the Palaszczuk Labor Government watered down our laws and now Queensland is the car theft capital of Australia.
Presently, figures show that about 55 cars are being stolen in Queensland every day. The Crime Crisis is impacting community safety and driving up the cost of living.
The Palaszczuk Labor Government is in a constant state of chaos and crisis and they’re refusing to listen to Queenslanders calling for change.
It’s time to put the rights of victims before offenders, remove detention as a last resort and for goldstandard early intervention.
Whilst the state parliament extended a trial of the GPS tracking devices by two years to 2025 and dropped the minimum age of participants to 15. At this time only 13 juvenile reoffenders have been fitted with the devices as part of their bail conditions.
It’s time to make our communities safe again.
To summarise my thoughts on the 2023 - 2024 Queensland budget
It has not done anything for youth crime
It has not created any new social housing
I do acknowledge and welcome the announcements around free kindergarten and swimming lessons
There is no funding for the Pioneer-Burdekin Dam - a fundamental component of the government's energy and jobs announcement
Not a lot to show for the extra $60 BILLION of revenue seems the government has received
There is no funding for problematic roads in the electorate of Glass House.

Coalition observations of the Federal 2023 -2024 budget
In the opposition reply to the 2023 - 2024 Australian budget
I'm calling for a DiggerBill for veterans' education - a #GIBill for modern Australia. The original Digger Bill was signed on June 22, 1944 by U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt which gave returning servicemen access to unemployment compensation, lowinterest home and business loans, and—most importantly—funding for education.
The G.I. Bill became one of the major forces that drove an economic expansion in America that lasted 30 years after World War II.
Labor have repeatedly slashed funding for this kind of thing. It's not good enough.
I'm fighting for a DiggerBill to bridge the gap and give back to those who've given so much to
