Maleny Bowls Club on Wednesday nights

Wednesday night social bowls at the Maleny Bowls Club has once again commenced. As from February 1st the season will run for 18 weeks starting at 6p.m. and finishing at 9p.m. Everyone is welcome - bowlers and non bowlers join in the night for great socialising.

The night includes a BBQ roll and the licensed bar is open.

A guarantee will provide that should a borrower be unable for any reason to make the loan repayments, the guarantor will make those payments.

So before deciding to become a guarantor, you should be confident that the borrower can meet the loan repayments now and, in the future, and that you are comfortable with your relationship with the borrower. You should also ensure that you are in a financial position to cover the loan repayments if at any time the borrower cannot meet the repayments.

This is critical, particularly if you are securing the guarantee with property. This could restrict your ability to borrow funds in the future tying up equity you hold in your property until the loan is repaid in full.

Guarantees can be for fixed amounts or what are termed “all monies”.

A guarantee for a fixed amount provides far more certainty compared to an all monies guarantee, and the guarantee should clearly state the exact amount of money you will owe in the worst case scenario that the borrower is unable to repay the loan.

Maleny Blackall Range Lions Club The Chatty Cafe in Maleny - come and join us!

The Chatty Cafe is being held at the Maleny Library every Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:30 and provides locals with an opportunity for a cuppa and a chat with fellow Chatty Cafe guests and friendly volunteers.

Although this is a Maleny Blackall Range Lions Club initiative, we welcome anyone who has an hour a week to spare, to enjoy a chat with an interesting bunch of local residents. If you would like to help out, or know of someone who might benefit from more social interaction, join us for a tea or coffee at Maleny Library on Tuesdays between 10:30 and 11:30 am….
