Why do we need philanthropists?
Malthouse Theatre’s Muse donors are vital, active and interested partners in our journey to make and share the best of contemporary theatre.
Malthouse Theatre is a not-for-profit company and is a registered charitable gift recipient. We are partially funded through Arts Victoria and the Australia Council, business revenue and ticket sales.
Through their donations, our Muses support the creation of new Australian theatre by enabling projects, pathways and opportunities that make Malthouse Theatre a unique and dynamic environment for both artists and audiences.
The balance is provided by supporters like you, who have a direct impact on the company by being able to respond significantly and with vision.

Impact of the Muse program: Donations made through Malthouse Muse are invested in new commissions, associate artist programs, creative project and artist development, education and access initiatives, and touring.
