Students Bring the Stations of the Cross to Life
Students from Malvern Prep, Villa Maria, and Notre Dame brought the Stations of the Cross to life in two performances of the Living Stations year during the month of April.
The Living Stations is a student-driven and contemporary staging of the Stations of the Cross. With lyrics from modern music sung by the Malvern Liturgical Music group, actors will portray the events leading up to the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
This year, the Stations were dedicated to all those who are suffering amidst the war in Ukraine.
Thank you to all who helped make this production a success including all of the students, Dr. Jim Fry, Ed Liga, Rob Muntz P‘26, Mark McLaughlin P‘03, Jackie White, Jacki Cantor, and Bob Colameco! mp
Malvern Theatre Society Spring Production
The spring Upper School production of Something Rotten starred Colin Campbell ‘22 and Nolan Murphy ‘25 as Nick and Nigel Bottom, respectively. The Bottom brothers are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as “The Bard,” played by Tyler Kinka ‘23. The cast and crew took viewers on a comedic journey into creating the world’s very first musical! Every aspect of the MTS program is led by students. Members of the program gain experience in the following areas: acting, singing, dancing, costuming, hair design, makeup, lighting design, sound design, set construction, set decorating, ushering, graphic design, and box office management. It truly takes a village to produce these productions. Congratulations to all the students and faculty members who worked to bring these shows to life! mp

Malvern Hosts Junior/Senior Prom
In 2021 Malvern’s Prom looked different from the traditional proms of years past as it was held on Malvern’s campus. The decision to host the prom outside and on-campus was borne out of necessity due to the challenges of the pandemic.
By all accounts, the 2021 prom was an overwhelming success and gave way to a new tradition. Malvern’s 2022 Prom was once again held on campus on May 7. While the plan was to host the prom outdoors in the Quad, rain prevented that, but moving festivities indoors did not put a damper on the evening.
Juniors and seniors, along with their guests, enjoyed carnival games, Hawaiian food, a photo booth, a caricaturist, and even a hula dance lesson from traditional Hawaiian dancers. A great night was had by all in attendance! mp
