EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW With Sandra Plajzer

Please briefly tell us about your background. Who is Sandra Plajzer? I am an embodied sensitivity, which has found its artistic release in photomodeling, but not only. Creativity gives me an inner harmony, a sense of fulfillment. Hence my colourful way of dressing, burlesque dancing, experiments with ceramics, running a canal on youtube. I am a bit of a witch, a bit of an eternal seeker of beauty, a pseudo-poet, a mother of a red cat named Vincent. Sometimes my thoughts fly in the clouds, but at the same time I try to place may feet firmly on the ground. My present life is here – in Poland.

When did you first realize you wanted to pursue a career as a model? I started my adventure with photomodeling 10 years ago. It was a simple session at the... cemetery. I know - sounds a little scary. I was a lost girl then, who has been flourishing all these years and is today a strong woman - still on the way. Years ago I dreamt about being beautiful in the pictures. What is more, I dreamt of seeing beauty in myself. There was a lot of doubt in me. In the past I tried to get into the Lodz Film School – acting faculty. I failed, but I said to myself - "if it is meant for you Sandra - it will happen in your life". And... we have it - I'm talking about what my photomodel adventure looks like. Amazing, right? The universe rewarded me with the fulfillment of my dream, which I wasn’t fully aware of.

How hard has it been establishing yourself in the industry and what are some of the largest things you've faced? I am not a typical commercial model. Part of my work is workshops in smaller groups, creative projects. However, this does not change the fact that I take part in advertising castings. What is the most difficult? Being constantly evaluated - by the competition, by the director, by the environment, by... everyone. The key to success is to accept it as something obvious. If we love ourselves and are reconciled with our weaknesses - it does not affect us that much. This is my tactic. Being your own superhero.

What is the secret for a pose to become unforgettable? We become remembered if we are charismatic, have personality. I know that a good model can fit in, respond to the needs of an artist - photographer, client. But I still think that she must have inner strength, emanate passion and commitment. Of course - taking care of the body, developing skills, and dancing - it helps us to reduce our limits, open our heads. For me posing for pictures is a bit like dancing or acting, sometimes a game, and sometimes even a kind of fight with vision - to face a challenge.

If you could say one thing to someone younger who looks up to you, what would you say? I can surprise someone. Sometimes it seems to me that perfectionism is a disease of our times. I have had it. I would say to this person - be good to yourself and be authentic. The world can be cruel, and various failures are part of development. Love yourself, because if not you, then who? That would be my message.

What your biggest goal for the end of the year? This year was a difficult and exceptional. It was a test. My biggest goal for this year is to buy an apartment. As the culmination of my work and a step towards finding my place on earth. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW With Yana Levy

Please briefly tell us about your background. Who is Yana Levy as an artist? My career as a photographer started around 2007. I worked for Newspapers and news agencies, and I made photo essays. I became interested in portraits much later when I felt the need to create, and not just document and state facts.

When did your passion for photography start and what were the main milestones that turned you into the artist you currently are? For me, a portrait is much more than just a technically and compositionally correct picture. A portrait is an opportunity to tell a small story about the big inner world of this person.

How hard has it been establishing yourself in the industry and what are some of the largest things you've faced? The most difficult thing for me was to give up the habit of being a photojournalist. For example, even today, when I shoot a portrait, I always wait for the golden moment when the person will relax and stop posing (the model will think or be distracted by something, or even become sad or tired). It is in these seconds that the coolest photos are obtained!

If you could go back and tell yourself one thing before beginning your career what would it be? I would tell to myself «Think less and do more, and never don't be afraid to make mistakes!»

What are your goals for the near future and do you have any exciting project you want to share with us? The goal is to gather a team of super professionals and open the largest and most famous international photo Agency in Israel. Which will focus on creating photo sessions for major brands, magazine covers, and for people who want to have beautiful magazine-quality photos for themselves. The main difference will be not only the final quality of the product but also the organisation of the workflow from A to Z at the highest international level.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW With Andrea Ripa

You are a creative mind with an exceptional eye for detail, are you able to talk us through your process when creating your art? Most of the times on my projects comes the Locations first. It helps me see images in my head, finding a vision and angles I like. I put that on paper as best as possible to then find a good stylist who shares and understands the vision and with the stylist together, we complete the outfits. After that it’s assemble the team - plan the shoot and execute.

How would you describe yourself at work in so many years of career? More comfortable, more relaxed. Faster as I am better prepared. Shoot less and still have more good output than in the past. Being able to handle bigger productions and having the desire to work on even bigger productions. Experience is the best teacher I would say.

Is art, fashion, and photography important in your life? Why? Being creative is very important to me. As an artist myself I have great respect for all creative careers. Photography is another great tool for me to be creative and to create art. I find great joy in executing a vision that started just in my head with a great team together to the finished product stands.

In modern society, lots of people want to be famous, influential. What do you think about it? As long as you aim or try to inspire people to be their best self, Do you… For me the creating process and the fun and joy it gives me personally was always way more important than the end result, rather than how many people like it or follow me because of it.

What exciting new project should we expect from you in the future? My next big project after Kiev last year will be Los Angeles 2021. I will do 15 shoots in November 2021 in LA with various Stylists, Make-Up Artists, Designers and Models, which I am very excited about.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW With Teddy Tavan Juma

Can you give us a bit of background on how your career evolved? Before started photography three years ago I used to paint and sketch alot , i was doing it on phone, I loved to take simple photos and later make them go to crazy levels on photoshop (for me photoshop has always been a boundary free creation zone, and I tried to bring my creativity from photoshop to reality using a camera) , after sometime I started feeling the limitations of my phone and started renting gear from friends to shoot. after getting a 4000d Canon (I read it was built to prove cameras are better than phones) a year and half later I wanted to push my limits. Pretty much I sneak out of class to shoot photos. because it has grown parts of me I didn't expect.

When did you first fall in love with art? I have always loved drawing and painting from when I was 7 years, and after realizing photography and art could marry I even fell in love more with art.

Has your vision and style evolved or changed over time? Yes, my vision of work has changed alot, I started out as a sci-fi fanatic, later I fell in love with conceptual photography, and much later fashion photography, so I tried to marry all of these instead of dropping them all. The one thing that hasn't changed for me is my passion and intention towards art. I just want to be expressive, give a voice to lifeless thoughts.

Who is the person that inspires you the most and why? I very much love Osborne Macharia's work, I know one day ill share ideas on the same table with him, I feel like his work has been crucial for my growth.

What exciting new project should we expect from you in the future? Yes I have countless projects have written and plan to work on, but currently am working on "color blind".

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW With Roman Bolshakov

You are a brilliant artist. What is your story? He started taking pictures at the age of 12 with a film camera. Studied the process of monochrome and color printing and photo development. For a long time he practiced as a civil lawyer and almost stopped taking pictures. In 2004 he returned to photography and opened a photo studio. Since 2013 I have been exclusively engaged in photography. I use digital and analog cameras.

You have created a unique artistic style. Tell us about it and how you developed it. As a child, I read a lot of books. Favorite genres: science fiction, detective, adventure and historical literature. It develops imagination and helps to create ideas and images for photos.

What are the technical challenges of this kind of photography and how did you overcome them? There are two problems: 1. Design and create an original costume, decorations and accessories. In my studio there is an equipped workshop and I make what I need myself. The main materials are plastic, foam, rubber, ropes and more. When the product is ready, it is painted in the desired color. 2. Model - unfortunately, where I live, modeling agencies are not interested in cooperation. You have to look for candidates yourself.

How long does it take to create one of these wonderful works? Depending on the complexity, preparation and image creation takes from several days to a month. Finding the right model may take longer. When everything is ready, the day for shooting is selected. The photo session lasts 1-2 hours. The choice of the best photos and processing takes 2-3 days and you can demonstrate the result.

What does life look like for you now and where do you see yourself in the future? I live the life of an ordinary photographer. Work in the studio, the implementation of new images, the search for models, photography and photo processing. In the future, I want to become better and do even more complex and interesting projects.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW With Ekaterina Kulakova

When did you first fall in love with art? It seems to me that I had a love for art from birth. I was good at drawing in childhood, then I studied at a music school, and studied dance, theater. After that, I entered the university as a designer, and I also wanted to become a 2D artist (and this idea still lives on). And so, my creative impulses came to photography. For the first time, I took a camera in my hands when I was 18 years old, studied in a short course and my friend became the first model. And my path in photography has already been 10 years.

A creative mind with an exceptional eye for detail, are you able to talk us through your process when creating your art?

The process is quite simple in words, but at the same time complicated in practice. Sometimes an idea comes up quickly, sometimes it can take weeks. I am inspired by images from films, books, paintings, mythology and history, and I especially like to be inspired by nationalities, their clothes and everyday life. Even music can be a source of inspiration. Then there is the process of selection of clothes and costume details, from personal stocks, or from the workshops of designers, some are made by me personally. For example, for this photo session "Keeper of the Blooming Garden" I created a model of a key in 3D and printed it on a 3D printer, then painted it with paint.

What is the best piece of advice you've ever gotten and do you follow it?

Perhaps the most practical advice I received was in the form of a proverb. “If there is a goal in your life, arrows would be found” - it is about not being afraid to act and do, otherwise nothing will happen by itself. Even when it seems that you do not have something to implement your ideas, if a goal is set and you try, you will definitely achieve it, everything will come to you, the universe will bestow upon you!

You have created a unique artistic style. Tell us about it and how you developed it.

What is next for Ekaterina Kulakova? And then, new achievements!: =) I am set for a lot. And I'll tell you a secret, an unforgettable trip to the Altai mountains awaits me soon, where I will use this unique opportunity and will photoshoots against the backdrop of amazing landscapes. It is my dream to travel and take photos of fabulous characters! I will make my dream come true and organize photo tours.

In fact, I have a few different styles of photography. I cannot stop at any of them and limit myself. The style adapts to the subject of the photo - this is a mandatory rule. Each plot, location and mood require its own approach, otherwise the atmosphere and fabulousness cannot be created. But everything is within the fineart style.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW With Borys Zazimko

Please briefly tell us about your background. Who is Borys Zazimko as an artist? Hi, I’m Borys Zazimko and I’m a beauty and fashion photographer and retoucher from Kyiv, Ukraine

We admire the exquisite level of detail in all your works. Does your creative process start from a certain image in your mind, or do you seek inspiration as you progress? My creative process very volatile, it starts from inspiration, then I look for references which can reflect my idea, so I can show them to my team, and after it whole idea get modified by “reality”. It always can change from a bit to whole idea on set or during the shoot and sometimes changes works for the better.

What made you get into photography? I always was inspired by people and their beauty so I wanted to keep such fleeting moments of their lives, because some moments are priceless and it’s always nice to not always have memory of them but also have pictures which can reflect it through time.

What do you think is the hardest thing in your life you've ever had to overcome? For my opinion nowadays people’s mental health is a huge deal, and especially artists struggle with them the most and so do I. My depression was hardest thing to overcome and I hope we will never meet again.

What are your goals for the near future and do you have any exciting project you want to share with us? I’m inspired with VFX effects and 3D graphics for now, so I’m working on learning this type of art. My goals for nearest future are to “get modified” to a new level of art and create a digital model. I think I will show you my digital model in the nearest future and who knows maybe one day she/he will become a super model.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW With Luca Storelli

Please briefly tell us about your background. Who is Luca Storelli as an artist? I’m a published Fine Art and fashion photographer. I’m a visual, and I’m literally attracted by images. I spend lot of time looking and studying images on socials, creating mood boards, it’s a common routine.

When did your passion for photography start and what were the main milestones that turned you into the artist you currently are? As I began to work as a graphic designer, I was attracted immediately by images.. I remember since I was young, I was attracted by movie posters. They was the best result I could see; compositing, colours, graphics, etc.. Later, I worked as assistant in a studio of a friend of mine, and I began to see how to capture images, how to work with them, so I decided to study in details all the techniques to get stunning images, retouching, colouring and post production. I was conscious that I should study from the best masters, and this is exactly what I did. The milestone that changed literally my professional career was when I knew on internet my masters. I began to study their corses, (I never stopped nowadays). They changed my life, because I learned from them not only the techniques, but most important, the right work mentality, the right choices during work process. Pratik Naik, Bella Kotak, Joel Grimes, Chris Knight, Lindsay Adler, Kate Woodman, Eric Almas, Peter Coulson, etc.. If I’m a better photographer now, I must say “THANK YOU” to each of them.

The September ISSUE | 2020

How hard has it been establishing yourself in the industry and what are some of the largest things you've faced? The difficulties, more often than not, were more than satisfying. I live in Italy, but my reputation was built outside, not here. The Italian mentality is not willing to work as a team, they are all single. What I mean is that there is no collaboration between colleagues, no sharing, only envy and criticism. What I found outside was collaboration, respect, collectivity. I am part of many social groups created by my teachers, where artists from all over the world share works, talk about their work, ask questions ... each of us can grow thanks to all the others. I find it truly extraordinary.

If you could go back and tell yourself one thing before beginning your career what would it be? Don’t lose time. Go direct to my goals. Believe in me and in my possibilities.

What are your goals for the near future and do you have any exciting project you want to share with us? As a creative, my mind is full of ideas and project. For the future I want to mix Art and Photography for creating high impact images. I’m attracted by paintings and painters, and I would like to realise something with painterly photography techniques, as i began to do in past months.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW Who is Khangle as an artist and what should we expect in the near future from you? After 6 years in the industry, I am focused on producing fashion events, building my portfolio, and solidifying my reputation as an innovative art director and designer. Khangle will expand to include more collaborations with magazines and celebrities in the near future. I aspire to make a significant impact in the fashion industry with exclusive, extravagant collections. Also, I created a ready-to-wear line for retail, which allows me to reach new clients. Khangle released its first line, Whisky Jack’s Glass Slipper exclusive by Khangle, in order to reach a wider clientele eager to support the brand. (GlassSlipperNY.com)

You have created a unique artistic style. Tell us about it and how you developed it. Personally, I love to use my creativity to bring people happiness. That is a motivation for me and the Khangle brand. We work hard every day and our mission is to color life’s blank canvas. I will develop a concept

or inspiration, then extrapolate upon these ideas and do diligent research. We determine the perfect design materials, sketches, and designs to create a final product. These are the steps that must be completed in order to finish a collection. I cultivated my unique, artistic style mostly from observation and self-reflection. It is a combination of my personality and the external world around me.

Could you share how you expand your vision of art, fashion? We expand our artistic vision by striving to create pieces that are unique, avant-garde, and futuristic. This will allow us to lead as bold innovators who transform imaginative designs into living art. Nevertheless, while seeking to create novel work, we draw inspiration from our traditional culture. We seek to create a balance between creativity and elegance. We accomplish our objectives using robust marketing strategies, social media, fashion events and editorial photoshoot for magazines. Moreover, one of our main goals is to work with celebrities at high-end events in 2021-2022.

What will be the suggestions to new fashion designers? Never stop learning! Observe and listen to all the feedback around you. Apply that feedback to improve yourself every day. Rejection is part of the pathway to success in this industry. In order to be resilient in this industry, you must accept rejection and use it to grow as an artist and to flourish in the face of adversity. Below are a few of my mantras for resilience and development. EVER TRIED - EVER FAILED - NO MATTER TRY AGAIN - FAIL AGAIN - FAIL BETTER “Be Different- Be Unique - Be YOU” - Khang Le

What kind of impact do you hope to make in the fashion world? As a Vietnamese American designer, my mission is to bring our culture to the world and to increase our recognition using fashion design. We create a unique fusion of tradition mixed with modern, futuristic elements. It is an amalgamation of edgy, dramatic, and rebellious couture that is balanced with our breathtaking, traditional designs. I aspire to impact the fashion industry internationally as a first generation, Vietnamese American. That is one of our most central goals.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW With Yana Pankratova Can you give us a bit of background on how your career evolved? I've been doing photography for about 5 years. Weddings - done. Art and fashion photography is my new ambition. I don't know why. It happens by itself. It is closer to me now. Here I can talk and experiment.

How did your upbringing, early life, and steps in the artistic world help you evolve into the artist you are today? Since childhood, visiting galleries and exhibitions was mandatory in my education, because my mother worked in a Museum. But my education does not stop even now.

In this era of COVID, how has the pandemic affected the way you work?

The Story: The need of regulary communication with a large number of people is rather bad for the mental health of some people. Modern life makes them suffer from depression and panic attacks. When the quarantine started they no longer need to be surrounded by people.

At first, my work in this era of COVID became impossible. Many people were scared. That's why I have a huge number of photos of my children. Later we have resumed our work, because it is not difficult for photographers and models to maintain a social distance. That's why I have a lot of photos where models don't have makeup or hairstyle. And I definitely liked this feeling. Because this photos became closer to ordinary people. But, of course, I hope that this situation will not happen again.

What is your main source of inspiration?

People who are depressed find a new meaning in life, calmness and feel joy in life.

People! and good movies that make you worry and tear yourself away from your phone conversations.

They know that everybody feel worry. The are not alone now. Many of them started new life. Because they think that we are all in one boat.

What are the next challenges in your future?

148

Work, observe and make people feel anything they can and anything, what a photo can make them feel.

“Pleasantville” by Blake Martin was inspired by the 1998 film of the same name. In the film, the community of Pleasantville is all black and white, until they discover love. Once they feel emotion for the first time, they begin to turn into color and discover how beautiful the world around them is. For this editorial, I wanted to use that as my inspiration and create a community full of people who began to blossom into color when they discovered the world of fashion. In society’s standards, women typically show their emotions more openly than men. For this editorial, we wanted to show the men in more vibrant, colorful and in motion imagery and allow the ladies to embody a darker and more stoic fashion.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW With Jessica Jetter volumes about their roles before they even open their mouths. I begged my mother to pin my hair in 1940s curls and insisted I needed my own pair of satin gloves to wear under Florida’s unforgiving sun. It was since then, that I always felt drawn to the wardrobe portion of character-creation. Under the guidance of my fashion-school educated mother and seamstress grandmother, I crafted the sugarplum costumes for my high school’s rendition of The Nutcracker and designed my original prom dress. Fast forward to 2020, I’ve found a zest for the collaborative creative process and hands-on manipulation of style. From pattern-on-patten swim looks to Asian-Western culture-blending fashion shoots, my passion for art only grows stronger and more detail-oriented, always keeping nostalgia in the background of everything I create.

What kind of impact do you hope to make in the fashion and art world?

Can you give us a bit of background on how your career evolved? My fashion styling career began with my affinity for the different eras of fashion, discovered through afternoons spent in second-hand stores across Miami, Florida. What started as an obsessive treasure hunt for Peter Pan collared blouses from the 1960s, authentic 1970 terrycloth jumpers or 1980s unisex business blazers became a living collection of forgotten pieces that yearned for a new purpose. I began styling myself and blogging under the alias of ThriftDaze, a short-lived thrift shop where I sold my curated pieces through Poshmark. Fellow creatives in my community started taking notice of my style and I began collaborating with photographers, models, makeup artists, and hairstylists to capture unique moods. All the while, I also evolved my career as a Copywriter at advertising agencies, giving me a further understanding of how art, words, lighting, expressions, and angles all work together to convey emotions and lust for products, people, and places.

How did you discover your passion for art? Childhood is where passions are born, and if nurtured, they can bloom and evolve. My earliest memory for the art of dress-up was when I saw the 1996 musical “Evita” as a five-year-old and became enamored with historical couture. It became clear to me that what characters wear, speaks

I hope to inspire art and fashion trends that live within sustainability. Now more than ever, our planet is asking us to slow down and take a hard look at what we already have and how we can reinvent the way we produce and consume. The ignorant and complacent truths of fast fashion are surfacing and repurposed fashion brands, such as Re/Done and Antiform, are coming into peripheral but are still relatively unknown in the fashion world. Apart from wanting my art to serve as an homage to bygone styles, I’d love my editorials to stand in support of the upcycle fashion movement. Art that is aesthetically pleasing and nostalgic, but also stands for the preservation and transformation of existing materials – that is the impact I’d like to contribute to our current state of fashion.

What is the secret for an image to become unforgettable?

A cohesive flow of lighting, expression, color palettes, and movement is what makes for an interesting image. The image must beckon the viewer to look closer, almost to investigate what really is going on. It makes you stop in its tracks to admire the subject, the location, the apparel, the face, the era, or the action. The viewer is unable to focus on one feature because all parts of the image demand equal attention. Even though each part of the image should be well thought out conceptually, the image should feel effortless, even if the subjects are grand and superfluous. Contrast meets balance in an image whose elements complement each other on a subconscious level. I also love images that can fluctuate from abstract and surreal to noir and nostalgic - a visual hatchling of great creatives like Peter Lindbergh, David Lynch, and Jamie Nelson.

What was the inspiration behind the Bloom in Innocence shoot? Inspired by Dutch masters style portraits popularized in the 1500s-1700s, this fashion editorial uses a soft pastel palette against a dark backdrop to reflect the dichotomy of innocence with the looming melancholy that life (and aging) inevitably brings. Coincidentally, our young, six-year-old model Charlotte was struggling with her own issues during the shoot. Her mother had been hospitalized and thus, separated from her for a couple of weeks. Charlotte was able to tap into that grief and channel it through emotional and pensive facial expressions evident throughout the photos and poses. The fashion is deeply inspired by regal Victorian collars, elegant florals, and ruffled detailing that was adapted to a modern-classic style that still feels fresh and relevant to our current times. Ultimately, I wanted to invoke the beauty of childhood innocence and the purity of their emotions.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW With Mahsa Safdari

Tell us about the development process that culminated in the artist you are today. When I look at my earliest photos I can recognize all the changes in my work, from the lighting, styling, editing, and the way I think about photography. Even my love and passion got stronger from that time. Practicing every day to capture the perfect moment, was the training that allows me to work quickly and efficiently. I am now focusing on more conceptual images.

What would you say is your style of photography? I love dreamy looks with big productions. I always try to have a beautiful set design for my shoots, so I can make my Imaginations a reality. Extravagant staging and romantic motifs characterize my style, however, now I am working on making more fine art photography.

What is the best piece of advice you've ever gotten and do you follow it? Be organized and ready before the shoot! Have a good mood board with all the information, have every detail planned, know your set, share your vision with your team, and be ready for anything that can happen. Do not give up, make it happen no matter what!

What do you think is the hardest thing in your life you've ever had to overcome? I believe the greatest challenge I’ve overcome was immigrating to the US. Moving to another country, starting from zero again, and figuring out a new life was a huge challenge, as everything was so new and different from my previous life.

What is the most important thing for creating new amazing work? I believe being open to all ideas, and having open and free communication with the team, is the most important thing in creating new work.

If we could ask the model, what would he say about you and your work? "I love Mahsa's unconventional style of photography. She is not afraid to explore and push limits of what is considered traditional, and she does it with great bravura. It's always fun when we work together because I know she won't be happy with anything less than the result she has envisioned, and she is open to trying things I have in mind as well. We need more photographers in the fashion industry like her- bravely creative with the one agenda of delivering quality art!"

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW With Aleksandra Fomich As the expert you are, what are the unique features of this kind of photography and the keys to master it? I think the world of photography is unique, because sometimes a shot can say more words.

How would you describe yourself to people that don't know you? I am at a loss to answer

What's the most important thing you want your potential clients to know about you? Here I would like to answer with the words of the talented P. Lindberg: "Photography is not one person documenting another person. It is a photograph of the relationship that you had at the time of shooting."

What is the secret for an image to become unforgettable? I think it will always be a secret

What has been the highlight of your career so far and what are your hopes/dreams for the future? Of course, the publication in your journal is one of the highlights. The plans are to create your own cozy space for the implementation of creative plans.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW With Anna Shevchenko

You are a great artist. What inspires you? As a creative person any little thing could be an inspiration. Everything around us. Fruits, colors, flowers, even a military style or a construction site. I am also following a lot of talented people (makeup artists, photographers, designers, stylists) So my sources of inspiration are quite varied. I can see an amazing work, but with my own vision I change and modify the look to my interpretation. A lot depends on the model as well, it happens quite often that seeing a face or knowing the character of the person I adjust some details to make it look better on this particular model. Occasionally there are moments when I already know the theme of the shoot but I might have no any idea what am I going to do till the moment I start. So, the work itself, the process of creation, I would say, comes from the muse and then everything happens naturally.

How did your upbringing, early life and steps in the artistic world help you to evolve into the artist you are today? Since I was a kid I always loved to draw. Already after I started to work as a makeup artist, I remembered how being a 4- or 5-years old girl I was doing makeup on my granny. I still remember that little makeup kit from China with sliding compartments. Every level of it had all you needed to make yourself ready for a party: colorful eyeshadows, bright blushers, palette of lipstick shades. Those times that kit was a rare luxury in my country and I took that lucky chance to use it all! So, I was always saying when I grow up, I want to make ladies look beautiful. But through the years the dream has been left behind and I got a degree in accounting. I didn’t feel it. Till now I am bad with calculation and numbers. So, I guess, the real passion from childhood meant to become my reality and make me focus on what I really love to do. My first job as an artist was in MAC. I came there without any experience just after I finished my basic course of makeup. That’s the place where I got a strong knowledge of industry, skills, idea about opportunities and met many inspiring people! After almost 4 years of my employment I realized that I got everything what I need to start a journey on my own as a freelancer. Once I stepped on this path, “doors started to open” and I felt a taste of freedom. Apart from the great experience in MAC since very beginning of my journey, I am doing at least once a year a master class or a course in different schools with different artists, to develop my skills. I consider it as an investment in myself. I believe there is no limit of perfection.

How did you discover MALVIE? The discovery of your magazine I owe to my favorite photographer Inessa Montez. We started our freelance adventure together without knowing each other. She needed practice and a portfolio I also needed a portfolio as after quitting my job I had to present my works to the clients to get projects. That’s how we met and after sometime realized that we are sharing same ideas, both picturing very ambitious future in fashion industry. I believe the chance of success is higher when you have like-minded person by your side. And here we are. In your magazine!!! It’s a big step up for us which makes us believe that all the time and effort we have made starting to pay off with attention and appreciation.

Has there been someone who has really helped you? My husband is the one who encouraged me to make this life changing step from the very beginning and till now he believes in me. He said if makeup is your passion, if that’s what you want to do, just go for a course. Finish it. You not going to lose anything as you currently having your job. He even paid for it. Then on my free time I stared to drop CV to different companies and pass by makeup stores asking for an email of the manager to try my luck. For some reason no one wanted to help and kept advising to apply from the website. I started to lose hope. And one day very casually I asked a lady in MAC if she can help me with a right contact. She was super friendly and cool. Shared a few emails and wished me good luck. Next day I got a call for the interview!!! As I mentioned earlier, I didn’t have any experience at that time. So, I ran back to the same store to thank the lady and ask her how the interviews usually happening, what are the standards, expected answers from my side, etc. She gave me detailed instructions and by next week I had that job!!! Actually, I have so many stories about random people in my life who encouraged and inspired me. I have people who support and believe in me. With this people by my side I keep going, keep growing and willing to do more and better.

I mentioned Inessa Montez. She is a trigger and a big kick for me. She knows I might be lazy sometimes or I could be not in the right mood for creativity, but she very smoothly twists everything and makes me perform 100%.

What are the next challenges in your future? One of the constant challenges for every artist is stay in demand, be up to date in trends and fashion, maintain existing connections and expand the network. There are few others, but not sure if I should call it challenges, plans or dreams. First is definitely to start sharing my knowledge through teaching I always wanted to, but I wasn’t confident enough, now I feel ready and I am planning to start working on it. Second one is to step into European fashion industry. Would be great not only enjoy doing makeup but also travel for projects, meet new people, explore the market, expose myself, and, who knows, become famous, perhaps. Last but not least of the top ones I would like to highlight. I have favorite celebrity, not sure if I should mention her name, as it might seem that I dream too big. But I believe one day I will be doing her makeup. I will make a wish now. Once it will happen, I wish to have another interview with you and reveal the identity of my dream client.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW With Izabela Miszta

You are a creative mind with an exceptional eye for detail, are you able to talk us through your process when creating your art? I am taking inspirations from famous photographers all over the world. Studiing the photos they take, try to understand what their aim was... On this base i am starting my creative process. For allmost all editorials i am producing the wardrobe by myself to get exactly the outcome i want to have at the end. At the end i am looking for a model which fits exact to my idea and clothes. The Fotosession in the end is the shortest part of the process.

Can you give us a bit of background on how your career evolved? Actualy this is a little bit of coinsidence. As my husband is also a professional Photographer taking advertising, product and landscape photos, i was always joining him on his photo tours and took reportage pics of him just with my cell phone. As he saw these pictures he recognized that i have a real good eye for captering. He told me that from now on he will train me in photography to make me professionel. So we build up a very small studio for my portraiture photography and i started to work.

Who were your biggest influences? I think i have no special or biggest influencers. It's more like the whole fashion and beauty community influences me all the time...

What's been the biggest highlight in your career so far?

Maybe this is not a highlight for others, but for me it was just a publication in a magazine. Hopefully there will be more and bigger highlights...haha.

What does life look like for you now and where do you see yourself in the future? Now my life looks like that: working from the morning until late night. Planning, creating and working on new customers. A life full of my passion - photography and creating beauty... Time will show my future, but maybe some day i will be also a influence photographer like some many colleages all over the world...

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW With Roberta Montagnini

In your daily routine, do you like to learn new things about art, photography and fashion? Why? All the time. I'm constantly looking and researching and reading and discovering. I'm a very curious person and thankfully I have a very imaginative mind. To learn new things fulfills my soul. It's addictive, I'm always hungry for more.

What do you like about MALVIE Magazine? MALVIE magazine is a very inspiring magazine and great resource for fashion and art. Everything seems really polished and classy. I personally like that the magazine gives space and opportunity for upcoming talent to showcase their work. To be featured in this magazine is an honor for me.

What's the most important thing you want your potential clients to know about you?

What's been the biggest highlight in your career so far? The biggest highlight in my career was definitely winning 1st and 2nd place in the Portrait Individual category at WPPI (WPPI Wedding & Portrait Photography) as well 2nd place on the portrait Illustrative in 2019, and also winning the Teen & Senior category at The Portrait Masters 2019. I started my career as a professional photographer in 2018 and a year later I won a competition. It gave me validation and motivation to push forward. That it doesn't matter when you start, but how you push yourself forward, how you work on improving your skills and how you express yourself with art. This year the highlight was the photo book I'm creating called Black Ascension, I wanted to create a book with 100 people of all ages and skin shades of Black African descendants. This was a way to give back to the community and to empower the black community with beautiful images of them and also a chance for them to exist in a printed book as well as give each person a chance to express their views with their own words.. The book is in its early stages and will be ready and available on Amazon next year.

Everyone that likes my work and would like to be photographed by me, you should know that every person, including YOU, are worthy and deserve to exist in photographs. I want my future clients to know that it doesn't matter how they look as there isn't a norm or mold to follow. I embrace and celebrate diversity and each person is unique. My goal is to take the most beautiful portrait they have ever seen of themselves for them to cherish for a lifetime. Everyone is photogenic and I challenge anyone that disagrees for a session with me.

What are the biggest challenges of working during this pandemic? Surprisingly it has been my best months to date. So I feel blessed and grateful. The main challenge is definitely to adjust and follow the health regulations. Keep your distance, wear a mask, sanitize everything, ask clients to wash their hands and so on. I've always been very hygienic so the cleaning of my space was not hard, I just had to add a few more things.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW With Samira Parsa

Please briefly tell us about your background. Who is Samira Parsa as an artist? Actually, my education background is business, I’m a doctor of business, but I have always been in love with art and years ago I started learning photography and jewelry design at the same time, which has been my major business these days. Since my mother is a great makeup artist, I have also had the chance to learn makeup.

You are a great artist. What inspires you? It’s very exciting to call me a great artist, but I still have a long way to go to become a great artist, the fact is that I can be inspired by a wide range of things from nature to people’s life stories, but the most inspiring subject for me is how men are charmed by women and the attraction of women for men!

What do you think the biggest misconception about you is? I am always energetic, humorous and friendly with my team on shooting days so mostly people think that I am an extrovert but actually I am truely an introverted one so I get my enengy from inside, not people or outside

If you could say one thing to someone younger who looks up to you, what would you say?

If you want my humble opinion, we should always be aware of what we really want to be, we should always be aware of our strengths and weaknesses and We have to do our best to achieve our goals, we must bear in mind that we are in the road of progress till the last day of our life I mean, Life is an endless road of progress, so we do need to make a better version of ourselves, which means the main measure of our success is our progress compared with our own previous day!

What are your goals for the near future and do you have any exciting project you want to share with us? Actually I’m about to immigrate, so my near future goal, is to run an artistic business in the destination country and one of my biggest projects is about a persian poem which I’m going to illustrate as a set of photos in which I am the model, photographer, retoucher, jeweler and makeup artist of the project!

MALVIE Exclusive Interview with Lisa-Marie McGinn

How long does it take to create one of these wonderful works and why you decided to publish it in MALVIE Magazine? It can take me anywhere from a few days to a few months! I have had ideas for months that take a lot of planning and executing before my team and I can make it come to life and then there are other times that I think of a concept or theme and get a team together within a day or two. There are even times that we are in the middle of a shoot and the concept completely changes and it’s even better than what we had envisioned. I decided to publish with MALVIE Magazine after Marius reached out to me via Kavyar. I love how the magazine shows diversity through different artists.

When did your passion for photography start and what were the main milestones that turned you into the artist you currently are? My passion for photography started when I was 15 years old. I had to take an option course in high school and only had 3 different options to choose between. There was a computer class; I was already taking a computer course so I didn’t want another one. The next was an art class; I can’t draw to save my life so that was out. The last option was photography; I thought to myself ‘Oh that will be easy you just press a button.’ How wrong I was! I didn’t realize the work and artistry it takes to produce a good image. There is so much technique and skill involved in this industry. I ended up falling in love with photography during that first semester so I asked my teacher to do the ‘Intermediate’ course the next semester after school. By my graduating year I had completed the course but asked my teacher if there was any way I could do photography my final year. She created ‘Advanced +1’ for me where she taught me more photoshop techniques. I knew that this was what I wanted to do with my life and enrolled in university to pursue photography. This is where I accidentally found my love for fashion photography. I was focusing on food photography when we had a lighting class where we had to photograph a portrait with 5 different lighting techniques. I was so proud of the images I had produced. The lighting, the editing, everything was exactly what I wanted it to be. I proudly showed my teacher at our review class.

My teacher looked at the photos quietly and observed them in depth. Once he was done he closed my portfolio and looked at me and said, “People aren’t your thing.” I was heartbroken. I felt so defeated. I spent the entire summer shooting “fashion” portraits. I found models on social media, did the hair and makeup myself and used my own clothing. By the end of my third year at our ‘Portfolio Show’ my entire portfolio was fashion photography. That one teacher who had told me I couldn’t photograph people came to my table and was looking through my portfolio. I looked at him and said, “So, remember when you said I can’t photograph people?” he just smiled at me and winked. It was then I realized he knew my personality and knew I would go out to prove him wrong. It is that motivation and drive that has brought me to where I am today. Some of the milestones I am so proud of are becoming an Elinchrom and Canon ambassador. I was also asked to write a Pro Showcase for Practical Photography magazine and through that they asked me to be the fashion columnist for the 2016-2017 year. Seeing my images and columns published monthly in a magazine sold in stores all over the world was an incredible accomplishment. It has been a surreal and humbling experience to travel Canada doing photography seminars for Canon and Elinchrom through Vistek. During the summer of 2019 I was one of the photographers chosen to photograph at Coco Rocha’s Model Camp debut in Canada. I will also be travelling throughout Canada with them as they expand to more provinces.

What would you say is your style of photography? My style is very feminine and clean. It moves from elegant to edgy depending on the concept of the shoot. I love creating romantic images that the viewer can create a story to. I have always been told I have clean work, even back in my high school photography days. I love feminine portraiture, from a simple portrait to my creative work where I choose a theme and build around it. A recurring theme in my work is showcasing feminine beauty, whether it is a fashion editorial or a client looking for portraits that make her feel beautiful. I love to create images that tell a story through the lighting, styling or the model herself. I love photographing strong, diverse women and want them to feel beautiful and empowered through my work.

The September ISSUE | 2020

How did your upbringing, early life, and steps in the artistic world help you evolve into the artist you are today? My mum is incredibly creative. She always had a camera in her hand and I was always on the other end of it. She always encouraged me to pursue my creativity and even to this day she is a huge part of my business and helping me with my shoots. Whether she is assisting me behind the scenes or even coming up with concepts, I wouldn’t be where I am today without her and her support. She is my biggest fan. Photography was also an outlet for me to escape. I always felt I never belonged and I was never good at anything. When I found photography I finally was fulfilled. I felt like this was what I was meant to do with my life. There is nothing greater than creating art and bringing my visions to life, except raising my son. Both of these things bring me so much joy and happiness.

What should we expect from Lisa-Marie McGinn in the near future? I hope to continue to create images that evoke emotion and inspire the audience. It’s exciting to see my work evolve and I am always looking for inspiration for the next project. As photography opportunities arise for me to teach or share my process through interviews like this, I embrace them all.

And what are the most important lessons you’ve learned since and how? The most important lesson I have learned since graduating is to always believe in myself. I constantly wondered if I was good enough and compared myself to other artists. I have realized since then that I am my own artist; I have my own style and my own technique. I love experimenting. I love trying something completely out of my comfort zone. I love thinking outside the box. Do I still have doubts? Absolutely. At those times, I pick up my camera and start shooting.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

With Alexandra Myagkova Please briefly tell us about your background. Who is Alexandra Myagkova as an artist?

I became a photographer two years ago. My previous background was the reason why I had chosen to be the one. Since my early childhood l used to love painting and dreamt to be a professional artist. Unfortunately, I had a difficult time creatively and had no will to draw anymore. But my life was impossible without art. I had a glance at my old camera and asked myself: “Why not?”. It was my fresh start. It was a great way for me to create pictures without brushes and canvas. Light, camera and Photoshop are my main tools since then.

Who were your biggest influences when you started? What are your goals for the near future and do you have any exciting project you want to share with us? I want to see my work on the cover of a magazine one day. Also I am planning to move to Moscow and start collaboration with cosmetic brands. At the moment I am working on my project “Aristocracy: modern vision”. I want to keep other details in private.

What challenges and inspires you today? I am my own inspiration. With no modesty I can say that ideas of my work are born from my own fantasy. Imagination helps me to be creative on a daily basis. I do my best to grow as a photographer. My progress is a great motivation to move forward.

I don’t have one in the photo industry. I have never monitored magazines or photographers and fend for myself. Although art is still my main source of inspiration. So I really keen on Salvador Dalí, Van Gogh and Mikhail Vrubel. Their works had a great influence on me.

In this era of COVID, how has the pandemic affected the way you work? There is no doubt that it was difficult to work during COVID-19. Studios were closed for a long time and models rejected to work. However, my team and I got through it successfully. I had a virus myself and somehow reconsidered my points of view on life and art. It was a very negative but useful experience.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW With Nadin Khokhlova

In modern society, lots of people want to be famous, influential. What do you think about it? My zodiac is Leo, therefore I have a lot of ambitions and want to reach of “Wall of honour” for world photographers. More seriously, I think that in the modern era of the Internet for people have much more opportunities to be heard, but unfortunately or fortunately, not for all. Only a few of us will become the chosen ones. But the ambitiones are not enough for such goal, there must be something else - extremelly high ability for work, perseverance and charisma.

Tell us about the development process that culminated in the artist you are today. Hello! My name is Nadin and I like beauty in everything. Before photographer's lifeway I was a medical doctor, but due to many factors at the age of 32 years I decided change my life and follow the Call of my heart. It was difficult, because I left my usual many years expirience job and the usual social circle, but I did it and overcame my inner fears. I couldn’t have done it without support of my family! So, now I’m a photographer and I’m absolutly happy.

Has your vision and style evolved or changed over time? Of course,a huge changes and progress take a place! From the beginning, I tried different styles and methods of photoshoot. I studied a lot, but whatever I did, I was exclusively inspired by the portrait. At the same time, I was intrigued by the world of beauty photo and decided to try this style. Now I prefer dark beauty and I understand that this is not really a commercial story, but this is what makes me happy and I see myself in it.

To become famous as an artist, what kind of qualities do you think the person should have? Any success is 90% labor and 10% talent. Communication with people, the continuous search for new images and forms, learning, making mistakes and overcoming them is the only key to success in any job including art. The main thing is not to stop developing - and sooner or later any artist, photographer, artist finds his own unique style that makes him famous all over the world.

What or who is your main source of inspiration?

I try to use of the different sources for my inspiration - trendy and classical movies, comics, artists. I find some special inspiration in natural charactels: once I was on an photoexhibition of the the Arctic's images - it made an incredible impression on me! I wanted to transfer such colors and textures into my fashion and beauty photos and I also woulf like to get there and see everything with my own eyes.

What is next for Nadin Khokhlova? Oh, tough question! I try to be flexible and listen of desires inside me, be a dreamer and I don't stop looking for myself.

I laugh when I say this: I'm that overnight "International Award-Winning Fitness, Fashion and Men's Physique photographer" that came out of no where and is now seen everywhere — though it's taken me 10+ years to get here. Everyone always tends to think any talent "broke on to the scene," when it took a lot of work and determination to simply be noticed. I am owner of the very popular Men Of Utah™ agency and studio, and I shoot primarily in Las Vegas, Nevada and Salt Lake City, Utah. In all honesty, my models are my focus, not the scenery nor their attire or some piece of their anatomy. To me, models are not glorified coat hangers. Even if we are selling clothes, we are selling the MOOD that captures the clothes, so I try to make my focus (as you can see in Jon's photos) the emotion. Each year, I gather a small team of models to work with me for on-going projects for international brands such as Pump! Underwear, Sukrew, Baldrick Benjamin, Modus Vivendi, and Alexander Cobb. As well, I am a regular contributor of editorials to international print magazines (DNA (Australia), ADON (UK), Mascular (UK), among others.). Many of the local agencies in both Salt Lake and Las Vegas send me their models to beef up their portfolios to get them noticed. My first book, SUNDANCERS: The Men Of Utah™, was a kickstarter success, funding itself in less than

two weeks, and my second book, BOUNTIFUL: The Men Of Utah™, was funded by an artistic endowment for MenOfUtah. com. Despite the accomplishments, I am still only a one-man-show with an ambition that is sky high, precision and motivation that gets me psyched every morning (better than coffee!), and a love for the process. I lam addicted to creative shooting — I can shoot all day long without knowing time has passed. There is great fun in creating NEW images and new fashion combinations... Some photographers seem to take the same 10 photos repeatedly with different models. I want to take a new photo every time. I believe THAT is what catches the attention. It's ALL for attention; for me and my models. That's this business... 60 minutes of shooting and weeks and weeks of promotion, both by myself and the model. The photo, no matter how great, is simply a photo on a disk or in a portfolio. Without movement, without promotion and activity, it will never be noticed without the work and the promotion. That's the key to success in this industry. The September ISSUE | 2020

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW With Aleks Shchedrinskiy

What kind of impact do you hope to make in the photography world? I'd like to bring the message to people that the world is beautiful and diverse.and it's in our power to make it better. I like when a photo makes you think, puts you into its world and lets you feel the emotions and the mood the author wanted to convey. That's what I'm going for. To ensure that every detail in the picture has its meaning.

What do you like about MALVIE Magazine? First, it's great to be involved in creating such a quality content. The magazine gives a possibility to talented people to be noticed by the world community which is interested in fashion and beauty. Also there's a lot of inspiring content on the magazine pages. And awareness of the fact that my photos can be on its pages motivates new ideas and professional development as a photographer a lot and. It's also possible get acquainted with current trends in the spheres like fashion and art.

Could you share how you expand your vision of art, as a photographer? One of the source of my development is painting. Works of masters like Hieronymus Bosch, Vincent van Gogh, Salvador Dali, Kandinskiy, Malevich and others appeal to me. These great masters have a lot to look at and learn. Modern art as well as digital art impresses me a lot. Modern art very subtly reflects modern society, its mood and ideals. I study the history of art, biographies of artists, film directors, photographers and their works. I try to realize what drove them to create their works and what they wanted to say to the world. And the most important I try to apply this to my field, to combine the various branches of art and make experiments.

What will be your suggestions to new photographers? I would wish for everyone to develop their taste, not to be afraid to combine the incomparable and train your sight. Allow as much quality content as possible to pass through.

What exciting new project should we expect from you in the future?

I think it will be a synthesis of classical painting and modern art. And I would be delighted to see my work continue to adorn the pages of your magazine.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW With Veronika Temerova

You have a very creative team with an exceptional eye for detail, are you able to talk us through your process when creating your art? In inspiration we trust. Its not just a words, its an axiom. Every art begin from inspiration. Nature, colours or grace of fauna, fine art, clothes, architecture, people - everything can inspire you. Next important step is moodboard and reference. When you working in a team most important that all team «speaks same language». And moodboard is a best way for it. Prerogative to create it on that member of the team who offering the idea of photoshoot. We think each member of the team have rights to show creativity and the team will follow. In a case of «Mermaid's sunset walk» it was my idea. Inspiration was the nature and infinite sunset lake view from my terrace. It always send my imagination on some mystery way. Then my team started help me to create my idea. Pose references we made helped us to stay in fashion, but a bit mystery, look. We all wanted to show more then just beautiful dresses, we was craving to force dresses to reflect inner world of the model if she was a real mermaid.

What are the biggest challenges of working during this pandemic? First of all, for me as a stylist most difficult was that all stores and showrooms were closed and I was have to do everything online. But some times i need to see dress in real, to touch and to feel a texture, to see a real color, to combine. Virus changed a lot in our life. Even now, when we slowly start to comeback to usual life, we still try to be more careful and to choose online way to protect ourself and our families.

What do you think the biggest misconception about you is? I think my biggest misconception is that i often, same like many people, think that I couldn’t make something without even trying. But when you just start create without any excuse, there is always something good comes out and you understand that you wasn’t need to be afraid from the start. Don’t listen people saying «you couldn’t make this», only you one who know what you can do.

If you could go back and tell yourself one thing before beginning your career what would it be?

Don’t be scared of anything! Create and go only forward!

How did your upbringing, early life, and steps in the artistic world help you evolve into the artist you are today?

Since my childhood I loved beauty and saw it in everything. I tried to self-educated my aesthetic vision. I always watched fashion weeks on TV and bought glossy magazines which brine me in a magic world of fashion. It helped me to get my aesthetic vision which in the end made me a person which want to create and work in fashion industry.

What should we expect from Veronika Temerova in the near future? In the near future our team going to create a lot of new fashion and beauty stories. We truly believe that our art can help somebody to see their uniq nature beauty. We love to create and see a results. And maybe next time we will meet again already on a cover of Malvie Magazine.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW With Sofi Noks

You have a very creative team with an exceptional eye for detail, are you able to talk us through your process when creating your art? I decided to make more nature and pure makeup which wouldn’t be over loud comparing with model and clothe. Ann is a model with uniq look, i didn't want to cover her much. I tried to highlight her beauty.

What are the biggest challenges of working during this pandemic? I can’t say that in makeup on set i had some difficulties. I always too serious about hygiene. Main thing to follow simple rules- never take products straight from the jar (tube, bottle) with a brush or finger, use medical spatula or cotton stick; always try to have enough brushes for different models; never leave a product without lid on a table; always wrap each brush tip in a paper napkin after cleaning before put it in a case; don’t put brushes on table even if you clean it, use some stand for it that brush tip doesn’t touch table surface or handle of another brush. Always clean not only working surface and hands, but your cellphone too, because you might take it to check moodboard for example.

What do you think the biggest misconception about you is? My biggest misconception is to think, time to time, that im not good enough in my work. Pretty often I look on a art of my colleagues and think I’m not good as they. But when i starting challenge my self to do something similar i understand that I was underestimate myself. And its ok. Self-doubt helps us to strive to become better. As one grate artist told me, when you will be thinking that you reached all heights your career will finish.

If you could go back and tell yourself one thing before beginning your career what would it be? Be sure in yourself! Don’t be shy to ask some one you want to work with to collaborate, but maybe do it in a proper way, examine the style of that person, explain what you want to create, prepare some moodboard to show that you totally understand what you talking about. In makeup school we often limited by the rules, don’t be scared to break it and create. Use your imagination fully, even if not much people understand you, to any skeptical objection you can say «I see this way» and keeping create.

How did your upbringing, early life, and steps in the artistic world help you evolve into the artist you are today?

I always challenged myself and it helped me don’t be scared of difficulties. I absolutely sure that there is no bad experience, all what you create is helping you to grow. My father always taught me experimenting with different products or textures and alway try new to understand what is better for me to use in my art, and it helped me a lot. Now i have huge experience which brakes a borders for me and given me a freedom in my art.

What should we expect from Veronika Temerova in the near future?

In upcoming future, I chasing 3 golds, first I want to show as many women as I can that beauty is simple and its in each of us, second I want to show many ways how we can use makeup as a language to tell about us, and of course i want to see my art on a cover of magazines.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

Could you share how you expand your vision of art, as a photographer? My sessions always start with a main idea, an idea that serves as the nucleus of what the whole session will later be, but I never think of something other than a single photo, that idea that works as a nucleus always has to inspire something more. And when the idea is good it is as if I can see the finished photo in my head.

What are the biggest challenges of working during this pandemic? The challenges of this pandemic are being cancellations, seeing that jobs that cost to close and carry out, are not being carried out due to the current situation, in the area where I live, many people live from tourism and the covid, is leaving many people out of work, that ends up affecting everyone.

What has been the highlight of your career so far and what are your hopes/dreams for the future? The most disreputable so far in my career has been to be able to enhance my style, feel that I have a style and my own signature, bet on my way of doing things and see that the people who work with me or the models I have lucky to photograph, they always want to work with me again and they love the way I do things. Dreams of the future, I would like to be able to reach a level that would allow me to make some of my photographic dreams come true, to be able to count on the possibility of having a budget that would allow me to take photos that I want to take in places that I want to visit.

Tell us a little about the session we published. This session that I present was an idea that was born alone, like all my ideas born with an image in my head, in minutes the idea grew to an unimaginable point and now this session is part of a great project that the covid has stopped, but The session itself was a marvel to be able to do it, from the beginning when talking with the makeup artist Lucia Neri Damboriano we understood each other in seconds and without realizing it we were already choosing colors and makeup styles, the same happened when speaking with the Model and Singer Cristina Lopez Martorell (Cristina Clea) she understood all the difficulties of the project and gave herself totally to an idea that was new to her, putting everything on her part to make this session a reality. After making it, it was easy, sweet and comfortable, we had the illuminator Mario Berenguer who made the MBAstudio Barcelona studio available to us. I hope you like a sample of what I hope will soon be an exhibition that will be shown in Barcelona.

What are the key ingredients for a striking image? I think the ingredients of a good photo will be different for each photographer according to their style of doing things. In my case my personal and main ingredient is that the idea is clear natural, that the people who are part of the project are passionate artists in what they do, and above all enjoy. I think that a session in which I do not enjoy, in which I do not feel lucky to participate, is a bad session. (both for me and for everyone who participates) I believe in a good natural make-up, a self-confident model, and a good camera photo that later will need minimal editing.

What does life look like for you now and where do you see yourself in the future? Now the situation is worrying, but if we don't quickly return to a more normal situation, I think things will get much worse before they get better.
