I believe we all have high expectations for this year. And that’s a good thing. The world has been through a lot and so did we, so we deserve to feel a little hope and to be positive. That’s what the New Years are for, right?
Even though we cannot control what is going to happen with us and our lives, we can train our minds to see the good in the situations we’ll be fac ing in the next months. To start the year with the right mindset is the best way to keep ourserlves to gether – even if we might go through some not-soideal things – and that’s all I wish for me, for you and for us in 2022.
We’ll find the motivation to follow our dreams, to reach our goals and maybe even to start something that may seems like a wild idea – those are actual ly the best ones.

Custom-made clothes
Traditionally, people started wearing customised clothing as the availability and accessibility of readymade brands were limited, since readymade clothes were considered fancy and desireble because of their high price and less usage. Howe ver, as times changed, readymade clothes became more and more popular among people because they became cheap and easily available – the exact opposite of what it was before. With the readymade clothing business gaining this much popularity and utilising the economies of scale, demand started shifting towards it.
As we watched it happen, we noticed that this big turn in the liking and demand for readymade clothes have not come on its own. This big shift can principally be attributed to the major modifications in business plans made by readymade brands, which then rightly ap pealed to customers. This included incre asing the variety of designs, reducing the prices, and quickening the processes involved in the apparel ma nufacturing process. To bring this change, the raw materials were sourced from near by locations, and the clothes were stitched in a mass-producing factory unit that we now know as fast-fa Asshion.the readymade clothing industry sur ged, the customisation clothing industry went downhill when a majo

The clothing and fashion landscape has been changing constantly over the last few decades – and we’re not at all mad about it. The industry has gone from be ing customised clothes centred to ready made fittings taking their stead to bespo ke clothing gradually making its way back to the throne - and hopefully sticking to it as it gives us the possibility of making our clothes look a lot more like ourselves, and not just one more person on the crowd, which is exactly what the new generation of the fashion pack is looking for these

and customer preferences that have dominated the fashion arena have kept on altering every now and then and are principally responsible for the se veral dynamic shifts that are constantly happening in the industry. Basis the cur rent trends, the industry is now escalating fast in the direction of bespoke clothing and is expected to continue in that direc tion for the foreseeable future. As far as we can see and predict, it’s not hard to say that custom fit clothing is now the fu ture of fashion.
times have witnessed a considerable comeback for the customised clothing industry. The prices of readymade clothing, especially designer items have sur ged drastically over the decade, but the de mand and needs of the public have remained constant. Thus, in today’s day as we live in the age of fashionistas, an increasing number of people are looking to get their hands on their desirable designs and fits at economic prices. Ironically, these people are now turning to wards customised clothes.
rity of people who used to buy custom-made fits started finding customisation of clothes excessively time-consuming and expensive in the wake of the newly available readyma de apparel. This extensive shift in demand resulted in the industry phasing out of the market little by little with time till tailor-made garments became a thing of luxury, meant only for small, concentrated sections of the society. It didn’t take long till bespoke were considered something that only the rich co uld afford, which made it a lot less popular and
Another thing to take into consideration is that with technology and digitisation at an all -time high, bespoke clothing has also made its mark on the internet as the number of online options for tailor-made clothes have become higher. Digital marketing and quick delivery services too have added to the gro wth. Lastly, the immersive technologies that are fast infesting the world are too playing a crucial role in this great comeback. Now pe ople can ‘try on’ tailor-made clothing before even placing the order by using 3D customi sation apps and websites that are prevalent these days. The trial option not only assists the customers but also provides insights to the maker of the clothes who can then do a better job of making clothes suiting needs of the customer. The fact that all these proces ses are conducted online makes them com pletely contact-free which is just the cherry on the top of the consumer’s cake.

As we live in a world where people are being discriminated and even murdered for their skin color and genetic features, it is our mission to try to make life a little less scary.
Racism goes against everything we believe here in MALVIE
Whether it comes in big gestures, like bullying and name-calling, or disguised as “jokes”, racism is violent. It is always aggressive and has the only purpose to oppress people. And that is something we can no longer tolerate.
We know we cannot change everything on our own, but we are doing our best to help in any way possible and to show our support in the making of a society in which everyone is safe, respected and gets ev ery opportunity they deserve.
We know it will take time for us to make big chang es with worldwide im pacts, but we can try and start somewhere. That’s why we created MALVIE Noir, a special edition des tined to empower people of color and make their voices heard through the art. Also, in the immedi ate term, we are donating proceeds to a black led or ganizations that fights ra cial injustice.
You deserve to be respected and appreciated for who you are, and nobody has the right or the power to say otherwise.
You are not alone!
