DESIGNING OFFICE SPACE
Space Planning StudioDesigning Office Space The aim of this studio was understanding working of an office and developing a concept for space planning. Taking PUMA as a brand and developing concept to design its regional corporate office, energetic was the main brand value, it was shown in given site as intersection. The office was designed on the concept of intersecting planes.
Concept of the office was to show energetic space through intersection. Intersection was shown by one angled plane intersecting the diagonal mezzanine plane.

RETAIL STUDIO
Retail Construction Drawings: The proposed program was a collaboration of retail and restaurant and developing working drawings for it. Taking four different types of pottery the retail space and cafe dinning area is divided into four different zones for four different experiential qualities in space. Working drawings included detailing of retail display units, commercial kitchen, partitions, washrooms and furniture.

MATERIAL STUDIO Existing Site
Exploration of materials: The studio was mainly focused on material explorations in design. The aim was to produce construction drawings for the designed office space. Also, evolving combination of own material palette for a given design problem. Conceptualizing and developing interior layout with various elements and furniture of interior spaces considering the client’s requirements and making drawings for partition detailing, services, wet areas and furniture detailing.

retail STUDIO : Sugar Shape is a brand which sells customized bra, they expertise in selling the bra which best suits to your body size with perfect fitting. The retail store is unlike the normal lingerie retail stores which are often very B1girly, but rather the concept is to show boldness in Design as a contrast to the delicate fabrics and create a different shopping experience for all users, woman and men. The store is more like an experience center. It has small atmospheres in form of cubes where one can step in and can view different scenarios.

Visualization STUDIO : Cross programming- Work and Play The studio had cross programming of Amul warehouse (work program) and Performance space (play program) in given CEPT library building. The racks of the Amul warehouse became a platform for artists to perform and It kept on changing throughout the day based on the arrangement of the boxes. The workers in the warehouse can be audience during their break time and can be performing artists after work hours.

Artist’s Studio : The studio aimed at studying the assigned artist and then designing studio, sleeping place and pantry for him. The site was in Champaner and we had to develop certain qualities of space suitable for the artist to work and stay.

city of objects The crazy bar The exercise was to select any random object from surrounding and imagine a space in it. The object selected was wheel of a revolving chair which was converted into a crazy revolving bar with dance floor. The revolving wheel served as a fortune wheel which had eight sections and each section had different type of drinks, one section was left empty for the fun part.

Constructing a wall: Understanding the brick structure along with hands on working with following all types of procedures like line-out, foundation, leveling and plumb checking, stability of form, staggering of bricks and understanding the termination and aesthetic values of brick as a part of team work.

Retail Construction Drawings: Winter school Program: Documentation of old and rich heritage of Ahmedabad in form of sketches; measure drawing a three storey pol house and studying elements like windows, doors and staircase in detail and making drawings for it.
