Welcome to
Manchester Film Festival
Welcome to the Manchester Film festival 2022. The last 2 years have been incredibly hard for everyone, especially the arts and entertainment sectors, so it gives me great pleasure that we are back 100% in person for the 8th edition of the festival. A film festival to me is a place where everyone can come together and share the experience of seeing something new. Being able to welcome the amazingly talented filmmakers back for post screening Q and A’s where they can share insights into the creative and filmmaking process is an integral part of the festival, for many of our filmmakers this is the first time they will see their film with an audience. I have always said that we would only screen in cinema as that is the best environment to enjoy film, so I am delighted to be back at the Odeon Great Northern with their state of the art projection and fantastic staff. I’d also like to thank all our other partners, XS Manchester, Krombacher, City Suites, Melia Innside, Niu Loom and Chapeltown Picture House as well as all our amazing after-party venues, staff and volunteers for helping make this our biggest edition yet!
