Welcome...
Whether you are a regular supporter or a relative newcomer to our lovely venue, if you attended a show in the last financial year, we would like to thank you for helping us reach a second successive record-breaking year! For the first time, just under 104,000 people attended whilst maintaining our 75% average attendance figure! We believe that our customers realise that live theatre offers such a tremendous experience and a break from the possibly more regular pub or club outing and this has contributed to our ongoing increase in attendance. Thanks to all of you for your sterling support and please do share our good news with your friends.
Who’s who?!
BAR OPEN It’s time to enjoy your night out! You’ve S 1hr prior to th collected your tickets and purchased your e pe rfo rm drink. Now it’s house lights down, curtain ance up and let the show begin! As the band strikes up and the spotlights focus on centre stage, have you ever wondered who is making all this magic happen?
And whilst on the subject of numbers, we are looking forward to finding our two millionth attendee since 1998/99 after the Theatre was beautifully rebuilt and refurbished using National Lottery funding. There will be more information to follow about this exciting event and what can be won by the lucky person! The new season also sees us opening our new Lounge Bar. This bar above the foyer will provide a comfortable space to enjoy the VIP Experience and will also be used for certain shows where we know that Groucho’s will be particularly busy. This will speed up the time for you to be served and give you more space to chat with friends in comfort. This season we are delighted to host some totally new acts as well as some original artists plus others who make a welcome return. I hope you enjoy paging through this brochure and trust that you find loads to entertain you, your friends and family. Thank you again for your support and we all wish you and your family a wonderful Festive Season. Happy theatregoing!
