2017 Plantinum Award winning customer service

It’s been quite a while since we invited you backstage so we have scheduled an open day, called Backstage Pass on Saturday 15 September. There will be free backstage tours for a maximum of 30 people each. Tickets must be pre-booked and when they’re gone, they’re gone! So please don’t delay if you wish to see what you normally don’t get a chance to see!

Who’s who?!

When you arrive at the Theatre, you will be greeted by our wonderful front of house team. They receive lots of praise from our customer feedback questionnaire and offer a professional and friendly service helping our customers to enjoy their Theatre experience to the fullest.

Families with younger children are particularly well catered for this season. Peppa Pig will bring her friends in September, whilst in October we have Guess How Much I Love You and Tabby McTat to enthral the little ones. We are delighted to welcome Sue Holderness, perhaps better known as Marlene Boyce from Only Fools and Horses as the Wicked Queen in our magnificent panto, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The incredibly funny and versatile Adam Moss will make a very welcome return as Muddles. Let’s see if this can be yet another record-breaking panto! Oh yes it can! Please do enjoy reading on about all that we have to offer and we hope that you find loads to entertain and amuse you, especially as the nights draw in. Happy theatregoing!

BAR OPEN S 1hr prior to th e performance

Kath Ratcliffe is our Front of House Team Leader and she has worked here for over 30 years. She loves seeing friendly familiar faces return as well as welcoming new patrons. Kath Ratcliffe

Join Ballet Theatre UK with one of the most enchanting love stories of all time.

In the 1950s one man changed the face of music and revolutionised the meaning of rock ‘n’ roll. That man was Buddy Holly.

This production tells the story of Belle, a beautiful and intelligent young woman who feels out of place in her provincial French village. When her father is imprisoned in a mysterious castle, Belle’s attempt to rescue him leads to her capture by the Beast. Little does she know that he is a Prince cursed by a magical Enchantress.

This all new production celebrates an artist who shot straight into the limelight as soon as That’ll Be the Day hit the radio. Though his career was short, this one-man powerhouse gave the world a stack of hits that will never be forgotten.

The only way the Beast may become human again is if he learns to love and be loved in return. The curse is bound by a magical rose. If the final petal falls all hope will be lost and he will remain a Beast forever. Their feelings grow ever deeper as the clock ticks and petals continue to fall - will they confess their love for one another before it is too late? Set to a stunning classical score this production will showcase new choreography by Artistic Director, Christopher Moore, as well as feature new sets and costumes created especially for this production.

Joining the UK’s number one Buddy Holly, is a special guest Roy Orbison revue... Relive the Rockin’ fifties music scene with this unmissable duo. Buddy Holly hits include: Peggy Sue, Oh Boy, Heartbeat, It Doesn’t Matter Anymore, Words of Love, It’s So Easy, Rave On. Roy Orbison hits include: Oh, Pretty Woman, Only the Lonely (Know The Way I Feel), Crying, It’s Over, In Dreams, You Got It, I Drove All Night.
