INFORMATION
ESSENTIAL HOLIDAY INFORMATION This information is designed to make your holiday decisions more straightforward. Please read the following page very carefully, if there is anything you do not understand, or that is not answered below then please do not hesitate to contact us prior to booking your Jetset holiday.
The name on the passport must match the name on the ticket or you may not be allowed to travel and insurance is invalid. British Citizens: All passengers, including infants and children, require a ten year passport (five years for children and infants). It is your responsibility to have a valid passport, and visa if necessary, which must be valid for 6 months beyond your date of return to the UK for entry into many countries you should note that your passport must have one clear blank page for the South African entry stamp (if applicable). If you do not have a free blank page in your passport you will be denied entry. Different countries apply different rules and more information is available on line or by telephone from the consulate or embassy of the country you are visiting. Visa requirements are detailed in full on the back cover. Non British Citizens: Visa requirements may differ for non-British passport holders/ holders of British Passports issued overseas - please ensure you have the appropriate documentation.
Sun and food In some foreign countries general standards of hygiene, care and safety may differ from those in the UK. You should exercise greater care for your own protection and health in matters of hygiene and choice of food and drink especially raw food such as vegetables or shell fish and drinking water in ice and drinks.
Health The risk of bites from insects and other animals may be reduced by using repellent sprays and covering up whenever possible. Have a small first aid kit with you and include plasters, insect repellent, and antiseptic cream along with any prescribed medication. Sexually transmitted diseases (including AIDS) are a serious threat to health throughout the world. Please exercise caution when on holiday. Skin piercing such as acupuncture, tattooing and ear piercing should be avoided. Rabies is a serious hazard all over the world. If you are bitten or scratched, seek medical attention immediately. If you have any difficulty contact the British Consular official. See your doctor as soon as you get back to the UK whether treatment was given or not. Department of Health leaflet T1 (Travellers Guide to Health) is available from your ABTA travel agent or local Department of Health office and we advise all our clients to obtain a copy of this leaflet before travelling overseas. Recommended vaccinations are detailed on the back cover.
Children and safety Please ensure that children do not travel alone in lifts, that they stand well away from lift doors and that they are supervised on your balcony and around the pool area. Cots and high chairs provided in hotels do not usually conform to the British Safety Standards and we recommend you exercise caution in their use.
Vaccinations Vaccinations are recommended or are compulsory for a number of featured destinations. For up to date information please check DoH leaflet T4, your doctor or your local British Airways Health Clinic.
Travel advice You can access latest information from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s Travel Advice Unit on Ceefax (p470) or the Internet (www.fco.gov.uk.).
Watersports Watersports are usually provided by the individual hotels. Most have adequate insurance but it is your responsibility to ensure insurance provides adequate cover. It will be assumed all clients partaking in watersports are able to swim. We strongly suggest that all clients refrain from high-risk activities whilst on holiday, particularly jet skis, as the operators often have no insurance.
unable to guarantee requests of this nature. Many UK airports are ‘silent airports’ whereby no boarding calls are made and it is therefore essential that all passengers check the computer screens in the departure lounges for boarding details.
On arrival In the unlikely event of your baggage being mislaid or damaged on your arrival at your destination airport, you must inform an Airport Representative immediately who will help you to obtain and complete a Property Irregularity Report and a Customs Declaration form. THIS MUST BE DONE IMMEDIATELY AND BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE AIRPORT OTHERWISE ANY CLAIM YOU MAY WISH TO MAKE MAY NOT BE VALID.
Checking into your Holiday Accommodation Accommodation in all hotels regardless of rating is in standard rooms unless stated otherwise. You will be allocated your room in accordance with local check-in/check-out procedures. This is normally between 14.00-16.00. When checking in at your hotel you will be asked for a credit card imprint or cash deposit for any incidentals. This will be torn up or refunded on departure providing no costs have been incurred.
Checking out Your accommodation must be vacated between 10:00 -12:00 irrespective of your arrival or departure times unless stated otherwise. On occasion it may be possible to obtain a day room subject to availability and extra payment. Our Reservations Team can pre-book your room until departure; however, this will incur a cost equivalent to the full nightly brochure rate. Alternatively, a courtesy room may be available in resort however, this is not a guarantee. For passengers on Self-Drive or Motorhome holidays, vehicles must be returned to the vehicle office from which you originally picked up your vehicle unless a one way rental has been agreed. Please be aware that it is your responsibility to make your own way to the airport to check-in for your flight and to re-confirm flights prior to departure.
Departure Taxes In many cases departure taxes are included in the price of your holiday however some are payable locally at the airport on your departure.
Beds in your room including extra beds Usually there are twin beds or a double bed in each bedroom. A 3rd or 4th person sharing a room shares existing beds or has an additional bed placed in the room and space may be restricted. Roll away beds are sometimes available and these will be charged locally.
Accommodation in the tropics In many hotels, especially beach resorts, ‘insects’ in the rooms are almost inevitable. It is simply a fact of life in these destinations.
Meals Hotels, which include main meals, generally commence with dinner on the day of arrival at your hotel and terminate with breakfast (on half board) or lunch (on full board) on the day of departure. Meals are taken in the hotels’ specified restaurant. Most hotels will allow you to dine in one of their other restaurants for a supplement payable locally. Please be aware that some hotels operate a voucher system for guests who have purchased or have pre-paid for meal packages at time of booking.
Water/Electricity services In many of the featured countries, water and electricity services struggle to keep up with the demands of tourism. Limited rainfall can put further pressure on their provision. Whilst hotels do everything possible to maintain full services, occasional power cuts and water restrictions can apply.
Money
Room upgrades/honeymooners
We recommend that you take travellers cheques in Sterling or US Dollars, which can be changed into cash at most overseas banks and hotels. Credit cards are widely accepted abroad and we suggest that at least one credit card is taken with you, as this may be required as a security deposit at your hotel.
It is not always possible to guarantee the provision of a double bed for honeymoon couples, although we will request this for you.
Packing Please be sure that your luggage is in good condition. Standard baggage allowance can vary from airline to airline. Please contact the relevant airline to confirm your allowance, prior to departure. All airlines have indicated that baggage allowances will be strictly adhered to, with charges imposed for excess baggage. If you are unsure please call the Administration Team. Do NOT pack in your hold luggage the following items: • Passports • Visa documentation • Vaccination certificates • Holiday invoices • Flight tickets • Insurance Certificates • Travellers Cheques • Driving Licence • Electrical items • Livestock • Medication • Uncooked Food • Matches • Baby food and changing items in the event of delays! Whilst Jetset will do everything possible to ensure such requests are met, we are
Read before you go
Diving It is not advisable to dive within 24 hours of arrival in or departure from your destination or within 24 hours of any flight. This may also apply to activities involving high altitude, e.g. hot air ballooning.
Join in resort If you invite additional guests to join you in your hotel in resort, please be aware that a further fee may be levied locally over and above any supplements already levied.
Local customs and laws As our featured destinations are outside the European Union, we would ask that clients recognise that certain social and cultural differences do exist between the EU and your chosen destination. Whilst many of these differences can enhance your holiday experience, we would ask that you exercise discretion should any instance that may offend arise.
Drinking and driving The age limit for driving overseas is generally 21 years. UK driving licenses are required, and must have been held for a minimum of one year. Strict penalties and fines are in operation in all resorts for drink driving.
What’s included in the price Please refer to the price panels appropriate to your chosen flight option and hotel destination.
Flight information All flights in this brochure are operated on the scheduled services of the airlines featured in the brochure. Some flights may be operated by alternative airlines, as a shared service. We reserve the right to substitute alternative carriers and/or aircraft types if necessary. All flights are subject to the granting of licences by
the appropriate authorities. Other flights may be made available. Please check with Jetset or your travel agent for further details. Direct flights on scheduled airlines sometimes include a refuelling or operational stop. Whilst we confirm your itinerary to the best of our knowledge, airlines can amend schedules to suit their business. A schedule change may range from 5 minutes to a day or more depending on the frequency of the flight. If a day(s) schedule change does occur we will offer a revised itinerary and holiday cost to accommodate that change. Please note however the price could be higher or lower dependent on the hotels/resorts affected. Not withstanding the above, the provisions of paragraph 4 section A of the Booking Conditions will apply.
Hotels Included In Tours There will be occasions when certain hotels offered as part of our multi centre options and tours will not have an advertised description in our brochure. In these instances please see our website www.jetsetholidays.com or contact our Reservations for more information. Often hotels are not confirmed to you until the tour has commenced.
Supplements At the time of publication, airlines have advised they will continue to charge customer levies for fuel for the holidays in this brochure. We reserve the right to charge to you the additional costs imposed by such levies.
Brochure accuracy
ESSENTIAL HOLIDAY INFORMATION
Passports and visas
We have compiled the information in our brochure as accurately as possible at the time of going to press. However we would ask you to appreciate that a brochure is prepared well in advance of the commencement of the programme. There may be occasions when an advertised facility or amenity is not available during your holiday. As we do not own or manage hotels or apartments, we do not have any direct control over the day-to-day running of a property i.e. certain facilities may require maintenance or improvement, amenities may be changed, cancelled or curtailed due to weather conditions, lack of demand etc. The majority of facilities do operate normally. However, should facilities be altered or withdrawn for reasons outside the company’s control, we will endeavour to notify you of such changes where possible.
General note As space is limited in the brochure, should any of our passengers, whether experienced or first time travellers, require any further information regarding their chosen holiday resort please see our website or contact our Administration Team on 08700 506 747.
Cyclone advice The official South West Indian Ocean Cyclone season runs from NovemberApril. During this time we track all storm activity and are therefore usually in a position to notify you a few days before in the unlikely event that a hurricane is due to hit your chosen destination. Please note that all storms can be unpredictable often changing direction and speed without warning. Please rest assured that we will contact you as soon as possible to advise you in the event that a cyclone threatens whilst you are on holiday. We will also, through our ground agents, make any necessary arrangements on your behalf. Should a cyclone threaten before you are due to travel, we will endeavour to contact you or your travel agent and will consider your chosen destination and make available to you, subject to specific airline policy, (to the extent we consider necessary to protect your safety) the option to amend, postpone or cancel your holiday arrangements without any amendment charges being levied.
Special Offer Air Fares Terms and Conditions If an element of your package holiday is a special offer air fare, the following conditions apply in addition to the terms and conditions set out in the Booking Conditions and in the event of any inconsistency the conditions set out below shall prevail. 1. The special offer air fare tickets must be issued within a set period of making the booking. Once such tickets are printed are printed the ticket has no refund value whatsoever. In the event that you cancel your booking prior to the date on which the special offer air fare tickets are printed, we agree to reimburse to you the deposit paid in respect of the special offer air fare ticket, at the loss of any standard deposit paid. The terms and conditions relating to “If you want to cancel” as set out in the Booking Conditions will also apply. 4. If you want to cancel your booking after the date when the special offer air fare ticket is printed, you will not be entitled to any refund of either the standard deposit or the cancellation fee of the special offer air fare. The terms and conditions relating to “If you want to cancel or amend your booking” as set out in the Booking Conditions will also apply. 5. Name changes in respect of special offer air fare tickets are not permitted at any time after your booking has been confirmed. A name change will be treated as a cancellation and rebooking and airlines will charge a 100% cancellation fee and the cost of issuing a new ticket. The cost of the new ticket may be greater than the original special offer air fare ticket.

BOOKING CONDITIONS PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING Below are the conditions of the agreement between you (“you”) and Jetset Tours, Flights & Tailor-Made Holidays (“Jetset”) a Trading Division of Cresta World Travel Limited for either a PACKAGE (defined below) or between you (“you”) and the supplier (the “supplier”) for ACCOMMODATION ONLY or FLIGHT ONLY bookings. The GENERAL CONDITIONS below in Section D are applicable to each of Package and Accommodation Only and Flight Only bookings unless stated otherwise.
A. PACKAGES A package is a combination of at least two of the following: (a) transport; (b) accommodation; and/or (c) another service forming a significant part of your holiday, booked at the same time at an inclusive price and for which full payment is made to Jetset. Your contract is with Cresta World Travel Limited, trading as Jetset and your holiday is operated by Cresta World Travel Ltd, ABTA V5018, ATOL 3200. 1. Our agreement When you book a holiday, a contract is made when we or your travel agent confirm your booking. However, please be aware that, where any element of your travel arrangements is on request, your contract with us will be a conditional contract until such time as we or your travel agent confirm that element is available. You must sign a booking form at the time of making your booking, which is your commitment to pay for the whole holiday. You must pay a deposit of £150 per person at the time you make your booking plus, if applicable any additional payment for a Special Offer Air Fare or one which requires instant ticketing, which will be deducted from your final balance. You must pay the rest of your holiday price to your travel agent, or to Jetset ten weeks before you leave. You may pay by cash, cheque or credit card. If you wish to pay by credit card, a charge of £20 per booking will be levied. If you do not pay the requisite amounts by the due dates, we may cancel your booking and ask you to pay cancellation charges as set out in paragraph 6 of this Section. The person signing the booking form accepts full responsibility for paying for all of the people on the booking and for keeping everyone in the party informed of the booking details. 2. Your holiday price Jetset cannot control the cost of its holiday components and reserves the right to revise prices after a booking has been confirmed, subject to these limitations: Changes in transportation costs, including the cost of fuel, dues, taxes or fees chargeable for services such as landing taxes or embarkation or disembarkation fees at ports and airports and exchange rates, mean that the price of your travel arrangements may change after you have booked. However there will be no change within 30 days of your departure. We will absorb and you will not be charged for any increase equivalent to 2% of the price of your travel arrangements, which excludes insurance premiums and any amendment charges. You will be charged for the amount over and above that, plus an administration charge of £1.00 per person together with an amount to cover agents’ commission. If this means that you have to pay an increase of more than 10% of the price of your travel arrangements, you will have the option of accepting a change to another holiday if we are able to offer one (if this is of equivalent or higher quality you will not have to pay more but if it is of lower quality you will be refunded the difference in price), or cancelling and receiving a full refund of all monies paid, except for any amendment charges. Should the price of your holiday go down due to the changes mentioned above, by more than 2% of your holiday cost, then any refund due will be paid to you. However, please note that travel arrangements are not always purchased in local currency and some apparent changes have no impact on the price of your travel due to contractual and other protection in place.
OUR OBLIGATION TO YOU 3. If we change your booking or cancel your holiday before you leave We try to avoid making any changes to your holiday arrangements. However, we may need to make changes as our holidays are planned many months beforehand. If we make any changes before your booking, Jetset or your travel agent will tell you before you finish making the booking. Any flight times shown in this brochure are for guidance only and may change. In accordance with EU Regulations we will advise you of the actual carrier operating your flights and the confirmed flight times at the time of booking and this information will be shown on your booking confirmation and on your tickets which you should check carefully when you receive them. A list of carriers likely to be used for your destination is available on our website. Any changes to the actual airline after you have received your tickets will be notified to you as soon as possible and in all cases at check-in or at the boarding gate. Such a change is deemed to be a minor change. Other examples of minor changes include alteration of your outward/return flights by less than 12 hours, changes to aircraft type, change of accommodation to another of the same standard. We will try to tell you about any minor charge before you leave for your holiday. Occasionally we may have to make major changes to your holiday. If this is the case we will always attempt to find you an alternative holiday of equivalent or superior quality and we will pay you compensation according to the table in this paragraph. Major changes may include the following. Please note that these are examples only and there may be other changes which constitute major changes. • We need to reduce your stay in the resort by over 12 hours. • We have to change your accommodation to a lower Jetset rating. • We have to change your holiday to a different country or different area of the same country. If we make a major change, you may accept that change and receive compensation, or cancel your holiday and receive a full refund with compensation. The compensation we will pay is shown in the scale below. However, in no case will we pay compensation if the change is due to events listed in the Important Note below: Period of Notice we Compensation give to you or your for each full faretravel agent paying passenger More than 56 days 0 43 to 56 days £10 29 to 42 days £20 15 to 28 days £30 0 to 14 days £40 Important Note Compensation arrangements do not apply to circumstances beyond our control. We can cancel or amend your holiday without paying compensation in the following circumstances: war, threat of war, riots, civil strife or terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disasters, fire, airport closures, bad weather conditions and similar events beyond our control. 4. Changes after the start of your holiday Very occasionally we have to change your holiday arrangements after you arrive in the resort, in which case, we will try to place you in accommodation of the same or higher standard in the same or a similar resort. We will pay you compensation as per the scale shown in paragraph 3 of this Section. The Important Note in paragraph 3 of this Section, regarding compensation also applies after the start of your holiday. 5. Our responsibility We arrange contracts for holiday arrangements through suppliers who we have taken reasonable care to make sure have good reputations and run safe and efficient businesses. We monitor and control the performance of our suppliers and judge their performance against the standards and customs in the country where the services are provided. We will pay compensation if those suppliers are at fault and fail to provide the services they agreed to provide. We will accept liability for claims for personal injury arising as a result of our staff and suppliers being negligent while in the course of their employment or contract. We cannot accept liability in the following circumstances: a. If you or any member of your party is at fault. b. If the failure is the fault of someone else not concerned with providing the services which make up the holiday which we have confirmed to you. c. Any unusual or unexpected circumstances beyond our control, which we could not have

avoided even if we had used all reasonable care possible. d. Any event which we or the supplier of any service could not help, expect, or prevent. We will offer prompt help to you if you suffer any difficulty while you are on holiday. If, through no fault of your own you suffer illness, personal injury or death during the period of your holiday arising out of an activity which is not part of the holiday arrangements we have sold you, we will help sort out any claim you may have against anyone else. This may include providing translation services, communicating with authorities and others in foreign resorts. We cannot accept liability for any payment unless you have told us within 90 days of the incident that you want to make a claim and we have given our written permission. We may ask you to pay back any payment we have made if you make a successful claim against the other person or you have suitable legal indemnity insurance. If our suppliers can exclude or limit liability under any international convention, we will rely on that exclusion or limitation. Any compensation we pay for claims against us, other than compensation for personal injuries, will not be more than three times the cost of your holiday. e. Denied Boarding Under EU law you have rights in some circumstances to refunds and/or compensation from your airline in cases of denied boarding, cancellation or delay to flights. Full details of these rights will be publicised at EU airports and will also be available from airlines. However reimbursement in such cases will not automatically entitle you to a refund of your holiday cost from us. Your right to a refund and/or compensation from us is set out in clause 3. If any payments to you are due from us, any payment made to you by the airline will be deducted from this amount. If your airline does not comply with these rules you should complain to the Air Transport Users’ Council on 020 7240 6061 www.auc.org.uk
YOUR OBLIGATION TO US 6. If you want to cancel We will ask you to pay cancellation charges on the scale shown below. These charges reflect our estimated loss as a result of dealing with your booking to the point of cancellation and any other losses we may have to pay. Period before you leave Amount of cancellation charge within which we shown as a percentage of the receive written notice total holiday price 43 days or more Deposit 22 to 42 days 50% 15 to 21 days 75% 0 to 14 days 100% NB. You may be able to make a claim under your travel insurance policy if your cancellation falls within the conditions of the policy. 7. If you want to change your booking We will always try to assist you if you wish to change your booking details, although we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so. All amendments are subject to availability. We will charge an amendment fee of £25 per person, to a maximum of £150 per booking. If the change increases the holiday price by £250 or more per person, we will waive this amendment fee (except when the departure date of the booking changes, amendment fees will apply). Where possible, this fee will apply up to 42 days before departure. If you change within 42 days of departure, cancellation charges on the scale above will be imposed. Changes that take the departure date of the holiday beyond the current brochure validity will be treated as a cancellation, and cancellation charges on the scale above in paragraph 6 will be imposed. If you have paid accommodation supplements and the number in your booking or your accommodation changes, you may be liable for additional supplements. You may not amend from a holiday featured in this brochure to a special offer holiday. Name changes (which may include a change of just one letter) involving scheduled airlines are normally regarded as a cancellation and re-booking. Our Administration Team can sometimes make the necessary amendments with an administration charge of £50.00. Such changes are, however, subject to availability and any additional cancellation or amendment charges imposed by the airline and these will be added on to the holiday cost accordingly. Insurance premiums are not transferable to another passenger. Changing of holidays to another holiday featured in a different brochure or programme constitutes a cancellation, and cancellation charges on the scale above in paragraph 6 will be imposed. To make any changes to your booking, please contact your travel agent, or if you have booked direct with Jetset, please call the Administration Team on 08700 506 747. 8. Insurance It is a condition of booking a holiday with us that you take out our insurance, or another policy offering the same or greater protection. The cost of medical and other treatment overseas can be high, and if you do not have insurance, we will not be able to help you pay those costs. 9. Late availability a. Holiday insurance must be purchased at the time of booking. b. There may also be additional charges at your accommodation for certain facilities. c. If travelling on a late availability holiday where car hire is included, extra charges will be incurred for the purchase of the Loss Damage Waiver Insurance package payable in resort. d. Should you book the holiday shortly before departure there may be a TOD (ticket on departure) charge levied for bookings with imminent departures and this will be communicated to you at the time of booking.
B. ACCOMMODATION ONLY If you book accommodation only with Jetset, or book accommodation at a different time to air tickets, Jetset will accept the booking as the Principal, your contract being with Cresta World Travel Limited , trading as Jetset and your holiday is operated by Cresta World Travel Ltd, ABTA V5018 1. Our agreement When you book accommodation only, a contract is made when we or your travel agent confirm your booking. You must supply your flight arrangements to us at the time of booking. You must pay a deposit at the time you make your booking and you must pay the rest of your accommodation price to your travel agent or to Jetset if you have booked direct, eight weeks before you leave. 2. Your accommodation price Save as otherwise indicated at the time of booking, accommodation only bookings are available for a minimum stay of 1 night. Jetset cannot control the cost of its accommodation and reserves the right to pass on any cost increase levied by suppliers subject to the limitations set out in Section A, paragraph 2. A £10 booking fee will be made to cover the cost of arrangements under £150.
OUR OBLIGATION TO YOU 3. Jetset therefore reserves the right to change the description of any accommodation before you book. Important Note In the unlikely event that your accommodation is cancelled, a full and prompt refund will be made of all monies paid less any insurance premiums and amendment fees. No compensation is payable. 4. Our responsibility As Jetset acts only as a booking agent, Jetset has no responsibility whatsoever for any aspect of the accommodation arrangements and in particular has no liability for any loss, personal injury or death however incurred.
To book your holiday call 08700 555 747 or visit our appointed travel agents
YOUR OBLIGATION TO US 5. If you want to cancel We will ask you to pay cancellation charges imposed on us by the supplier of the accommodation and any other changes which reflect our estimated loss as a result of dealing with your booking to the point of cancellation and any other losses we may have to pay. 6. If you want to change your booking In the event that we are able to change your booking details, we will charge such amendment fees as are imposed on us by our suppliers and our own administration charge of £25 per person to a maximum, of £150 per booking. To make any changes to your booking, please call the Administration Team 08700 506 747. 7. Conditions of contract The supplier’s standard terms and conditions will apply to your booking. This is particularly important as Jetset only acts as a booking agent between you and the relevant supplier.
C. FLIGHT ONLY If you book Flight Only with Jetset, or book air tickets at a different time to accommodation, Jetset will accept the booking as booking agents, your contract being with the supplier concerned (e.g. airline). We are pleased to accept Flight Only bookings operating as Jetset Flights booked through our dedicated reservations department on 08700 552 062, our authorised travel agents or on our website www.jetsetflights.co.uk 1. You must pay the flight price at the time you make your booking to you travel agent, or to Jetset if you have booked direct. 2. Your flight price Jetset guarantee the air fare, provided full payment is received in cleared funds by Jetset and tickets have been issued.
OUR OBLIGATION TO YOU 3. If Airlines change your booking or cancel your flight before you leave Jetset does not own or operate scheduled airlines and cannot control or prevent changes. Jetset therefore reserves the right to change the description of any flight before you book in which case you will be told before a confirmation invoice is issued. For this reason, flight times given are for guidance only and may change due to air traffic control restrictions, weather conditions, maintenance checks or requirement for passengers to check in on time. The confirmed airline and flight times will be shown on your booking confirmation and on your tickets which you should check carefully when you receive them. Jetset is not liable if there is a change to a flight time communicated to you or shown on your tickets and no compensation is payable by Jetset in such cases. Customers are therefore recommended to reconfirm their flights with the airline 72 hours before departure. Should a schedule change apply after your tickets have been issued, amendment charges may apply. In the unlikely event that your flight is cancelled, a full and prompt refund will be made of all monies paid to Jetset less any insurance premiums and amendment fees payable. No compensation is payable. A list of airlines available for your destination can be displayed on our website. 4. Our Responsibility As Jetset acts only as a booking agent, Jetset has no liability whatsoever for any aspect of the flight arrangements including baggage and in particular has no liability for any loss, personal injury or death however incurred. 5. Withdrawal of Services If our suppliers withdraw any advertised facilities or services or limit them for any reason, we will try to tell you although we accept no liability whatsoever.
YOUR OBLIGATION TO US 6. Your responsibility You must reconfirm each flight with the relevant airline 72 hours in advance. It is your responsibility to ensure that you arrive at the time and place stated for all departures. 7. If you want to cancel Air tickets may have no refund value whatsoever. Details will be given to you at the time of booking. If you need an air ticket which will allow for a refund or en-route amendment, you must make this clear when booking. Any refunds are entirely at the discretion of the airline concerned and refunds usually take 8-12 weeks, but may take longer. Airlines may refuse to issue replacement tickets for lost or stolen tickets and new tickets may have to be purchased by you. Please ensure that any tickets returned to Jetset are sent by registered post. Jetset reserve the right to charge £50.00 administration costs in cancelling your ticket in addition to any airline cancellation or amendment charges. 8. If you want to change your booking Name changes involving scheduled airlines are normally regarded as a cancellation and rebooking. Our Flight Operations Department can sometimes make the necessary amendments with an administration charge of £50.00. Such changes are, however, subject to availability and any additional cancellation or amendment charges imposed by the airline and these will be added to the total cost accordingly. 9. Insurance We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance for your journey. 10. Conditions of Contract The supplier’s standard terms and conditions will apply to your booking. This is particularly important as Jetset only acts as booking agent between you and the relevant Supplier. 11. Departure Taxes Some departure taxes must be paid locally to the Government of the country departed and are non-refundable. Please check with us or your travel agent prior to your departure date as to the applicable departure tax. 12. Financial Protection We are a fully-bonded ATOL holder. Please note that if a valid scheduled ticket is dispatched by the end of the working day following the day of booking, this will constitute a “ticket provider” sale and will not be covered by our ATOL. Unless you indicate otherwise Scheduled Airline Failure Insurance (SAFI) has been added to your invoice. In the unlikely event of the financial failure of the airline, you will either a) be refunded for all monies paid to the airline prior to departure or b) be offered alternative onward or return flights to the United Kingdom, after departure.

Compulsory Vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate if arriving from infected areas. The countries & areas included in the endemic zones in Africa & the Americas are regarded as infected. Exempt infants under 1 year. Recommended Immunisations: *Diphtheria, hepatitis A, *hepatitis B, *malaria, polio, *TB, tetanus, typhoid (*recommended in some circumstances, travellers making 3 or more visits per year, stays of more than 3 months in a rural area). HOLIDAY STYLES & EXPERIENCES Southern Africa is renowned for its outdoor lifestyle which is reflected in the range of outdoor activities available: Safari, Cultural & Natural attractions, Adventure Activities and Golf. Additionally some of the larger hotels feature sports facilities such as tennis courts, squash courts and gym facilities. If all this sounds too energetic then why not laze around a pool, relax in a Jacuzzi, or indulge in some spa treatments now offered by more and more hotels. Perhaps you would prefer to do a self drive tour along the Garden Route, or take one of the escorted tours through some of the most stunning and unique landscapes in South Africa, Namibia or Madagascar.
FLIGHTS, FARES & FLEXIBILITY Scheduled flight flexibility allows you to plan your holiday to suit you with the advantage of choosing the routes, dates and timings you want, for as long as you want, stopping were you want. We have highlighted a few fares available with some of our main airline partners at the time of going to press to give you an indication of costs. We also have reduced fares from local airports. Many destinations are served by your regional airport via Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester. Many connecting flights via Amsterdam, Paris or Frankfurt are free. Please call our Reservations team for more information. Rest assured, Jetset has a comprehensive range of airfares which we will check before offering you a final itinerary to ensure the best prices in a constantly changing and competitive marketplace.
BREAK YOUR JOURNEY WITH A STOPOVER A Stopover is a great way of enhancing your holiday and can leave you feeling refreshed ready for the next leg of your journey. Why not enjoy another place on your journey home, not only does it give you the opportunity to see another country but it postpones getting home for a few extra days. Subject to airline regulations we will be happy to add further stopovers enroute to your final destination for any duration you wish to stay. For example, break your journey to South Africa for three nights on the clear warm waters of the Arabian Gulf. Our reservations department will be happy to advise you of permissible stopovers that suit your holiday.

SOUTH AFRICAN CAR HIRE South Africa is excellent self-driving territory for visitors from the UK; driving is on the left hand side, the scenery is stunning and some of the sights along the side of the road are unique. The South African transport infrastructure is excellent and the roads are in good condition. However, the distances between towns are significant, so if you’re planning to self-drive, it is a good idea to plan your itinerary to ensure you don’t drive long distances as fatigue is a major cause of road accidents. Avoid long car journeys that necessitate driving at night as it always carries more risk. Also, in some of the more remote rural areas, the roads are not fenced so there may be stray animals on the road - which could be very dangerous at night. There are very strict drinking and driving laws. Speed limits vary from about thirty to about seventy miles per hour. Visitors are permitted to drive with a driving licence issued and valid in their own country, provided it bears the
photograph and signature of the holder and is in English. If your drivers licence does not meet these requirements, an international driver’s licence is required. Driving is on the left and the wearing of seatbelts is compulsory. g Rates are per vehicle per 24 hour rental period g Rates include: Super Collision Damage Waiver,
