Description: Watching roadside tailors work on these old sewing machines made me want to learn more about how it worked. This still life depicts and old model of a sewing machine which has a rustic feel. It is done in oil paints which helped me add the layers and bring out the colour scheme. In the background I chose to glue multi-coloured thread to depict the basis of sewing. All the different colours help bring the art of sewing and stitching to life, once again coagulating my love for art and fashion.
