MAPSI Summer School Helsinki, on 25­30 August 2014 MAPSI project’s first pilot, the Summer School, took place in Helsinki, Finland on 25­30 August 2014. In all, 19 students from project partner universities in Finland, Estonia and Spain participated the Summer School. During the course students heard lectures and presentations about economic and social impacts of art projects and how to manage them. In addition a great emphasis on the course was on working with practical case studies. Five student groups analysed five cases that related to different aspects of managing art projects with societal impact. The analysis included a final presentation and a written report. Cases were about Russian Theatre in Estonia, Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra’s Godchildren Project, Community Art Project “The Blue Kites of Melilla”, Museum of Plaster Casts of Bilbao and Smart textiles formation from an artistic idea to a product.
