The Engaged Times Summer 2016 Edition
Marbella is officially on YouTube! Click the link & check us out! Marbella YouTube Channel “Marbella is obviously so beautiful with Mediterranean architecture, but the event coordinators are absolutely amazing to work with. They made every aspect of this process so easy. It was so refreshing to work with people who never had attitude or seemed irritated with a question. Besides the planning being perfect, our day was flawless. Every last detail was covered. My grandma in her wheelchair had a golf cart provided by Marbella to help her around. The food was phenomenal, we made sure to take a break from guests and eat because it was delicious! The bar staff was great and very accommodating to our last minute signature drinks idea. The venue is so beautiful and we got so many compliments. Worth every penny, but honestly I think it's a steal for what you get! Definitely the best deal in town! - Alexa E. (As Seen on the Knot)

Tips & Tricks for the Modern Couple
Our Engagement Story
Brenda Farhat & Scott Donaldson Wedding Date: Saturday October 1, 2016
“Timing is everything” is a well-used cliché, but one that is very accurate for our story. We first met about 7 years ago in Laguna Beach as we had mutual friends in the area and would often see one another. We established an early friendship and admiration for one another during, what was a transition period for us both. As time passed, people and lives went different ways, but we still stayed in contact. Periodically, Scott would drop his (not so subtle) hints of interest. Three years later, I had just moved to San Diego and Scott had moved to San Clemente. Life was finally calming down, so I finally felt like it was good timing to catch up. We decided to meet at the Cellar Bar in San Clemente. That day we walked into the Cellar as friends and walked out just a few hours later a couple. It was just that instant-that immediate. This has been the most beautiful relationship that neither of us expected. I feel it was truly fate, as to why we never got together before-we weren’t ready for each other. It was everything I never knew I missed from any relationship I had ever been in. Time went by and fast forward 2 ½ years later. Scott, my daughter Yasmeen and I were visiting Scott’s family in Upstate New York for Thanksgiving. That Friday we returned to NYC for a few days of sightseeing and Christmas shopping. On November 28th 2015, we walked all day around NYC. We saw the Statue of Liberty, Battery Park, Wall Street, 9/11 Memorial, Tribeca, Greenwich Village, Times Square, Grand Central, Rockefeller Center, Radio City & more. We walked and saw so much that both Yasmeen and I were ready to go back to the hotel to rest-that is until Scott recommended that we take a ride in the horse drawn carriage through Central Park. We were just across the street from the park’s entrance by The Plaza Hotel. The ambiance was like a movie set as it was beginning to darken, with some light snow flurries coming down. As we rode by Tavern on the Green, Scott got down on one knee in the carriage…..I couldn’t believe he was proposing in the most magical place. Scott was so thoughtful, that he wanted to include my Daughter who was on college break with us. He didn’t tell anyone about the proposal, except for asking my Dad for my hand. We called and told our families and then celebrated over an amazing dinner that night at One If By Land, Two If By Sea. I still have the bouquet of flowers that were waiting for me at the restaurant in our bedroom. Being at the right time in your life…when the right person walks in, feels like your whole life has led you to that one moment. So thankful, so loved, so excited to be the future, Mr. & Mrs. Donaldson.

While creating your Wedding Invitation there are a lot of details to think about. The main components being date, time & place. Time, specifically, is a crucial detail to pay extra attention to. There will always be guests who show up late therefore forcing the ceremony to fall behind schedule. The best piece of advice anyone can offer is to put the start time of the ceremony at least thirty minutes early! This will eliminate the amount of tardiness at your wedding.
