Grooms Corner My Bachelor Party; What’s My Role? Vocalize with your buddies if you know they are planning something that you don’t like or that is going to make you uncomfortable. The details: Don’t involve yourself too much. You don’t want to organize your own bachelor party. Let your best man and brother-in-law know what you are looking for and interested in but then let them take the show from there! You can still be the one to create the guest list. No buzz kills: When creating your guest list don’t include testy relatives you might not know very well or any other annoying acquaintance that you will have to endure politely for the evening. Make sure you aren't missing anyone—coworkers, sports buddies or anyone else you don’t want to party without.

Bridal Tips ~ Pre-Wedding Tips (Courtesy of Flawless Faces)

Lips – If your lips are chapped a few days prior to your big day, exfoliate nightly with a toothbrush & water in circular motions over your lips, and follow with Vaseline or other lip treatment (not Carmex which has camphor in it that will dry your lips even more) for kissable lips on the wedding day! (Be gentle, you don’t want to bleed or tear the skin). Eyebrows – It is very important to have clean, shaped brows for your big day. If you don’t currently have someone to take care of that for you, we offer brow services at the studio by appointment. If you get your eyebrows waxed, make sure you do it 1 week prior to the wedding day, as makeup does not adhere well to freshly waxed skin. Also, you do not want to run the risk of being burned for your big day. (If there is a little growth, you can clean it up with tweezers.) Threading & tweezing clients are exempt from this. That can be done anytime prior to the wedding day. Suntan – We offer airbrush tanning at the studio and it is recommended to be done 2 days before the wedding day for best results. A suntan is beautiful on the wedding day, but a sunburn is not! Try not to “lay-out” or go “tanning” at least 3-4 days prior to the big day. There is no makeup that will match red-sunburned skin. Also, beware of triangle-top bikini strap marks, makeup can soften the look, but then you run the risk of transferring the makeup to other people’s clothes when hugging etc. Self-Tanner – This is a great (and safe) alternative to tanning, but beware of a blotchy, uneven application when doing it yourself. (Or orange stained hands). Try this at least once 3-4 weeks prior to your big day to see if it works for you. If you like the look, 2 days prior to the wedding day is a good time to do it. Dry Skin – If you tend to have dry skin, or flakiness on the face, an exfoliating treatment like microdermabrasion is highly recommended the day before or a couple days before the big day. This is something we also offer at the studio. This will leave you with a fresh “glow” on the big day, and make the makeup look “flawless.”
