Architecture and Interior design of the markets of the city’s center. The city of Barranquilla is renovating its markets, the commission was to make locative improvements that enhanced the spaces on the state budget.

I get to be in charge of a team of 2 architects who developed the drawings, renderings, and design. I led the weekly reunions with the specialists to develop all the detailed technical drawings for the bidding process.

Through the first research phase of the project, we get to notice the strong aquatic sports character the area had. So we proposed a sports Building, but since the area had a strong history of neglection within the state we get to the conclusion it would be better if we could mix

the building with a community center where children could get after class programs. Since the Building was located on the coast we had to minimize its impact on the land and in addition, this would give us a first floor more

transparency. In that case, we used the system of suspended slabs. Programs used: Revit, Rhinoceros, Sketch Up, Autocad, Photoshop, Illustrator





