Motility Test HiVeg Medium (Edwards and Ewing HiVeg Medium)

Preparation of Medium: Add components, except agar, to distilled/deionized water and bring volume to 1.0L. Mix thoroughly. Gently heat until dissolved. Add agar. Gently heat until boiling. Distribute into tubes in 11.0mL volumes. Autoclave for 15 min at 15 psi pressure– 121°C. If not used within 4 hr, heat tubes to 100°C for 10 min.

Use: For the cultivation and observation of the motility of Clostridium perfringens.
