The preliminary objective is to re value one of the most emblematic buildings in the city of Talca, the Central Market, declared national monument. Our idea was to return its integrity and nobility, throughout different levels of external interventions, without affecting the heritage building structure, by reevaluating the uses and the needs of the people o worked such as the people o visited the market. EMERGENCY MODULE

It is a concept of a temporary emergency cardboard prototype solution. This experimental strategy is based on a “build it yourself” cardboard structure that doesn’t need nails or glue, just the union between each piece, and it is covered with impermeable PVC skin which protects the structure assuring its durability. The idea of a cardboard prototype that has a limited life cycle, using it and recycling it, is the base of a temporary module for emergency strategy. PARAMETRIC SUN PROTECTION

The preliminary objective is to propose a sun protection system troughout a parametric research in Rhino, and using the grasshopper plugin. In first step is to create a component to spread along a mesh surface thats going to be modeled inlightned by the sun and shadows study of the site.
