THE 64M SANLORENZO FLAGSHIP

THE 64M SUPERYACHT CALLED ATTILA BY SANLORENZO IS FULL OF BRILLIANT AND INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS.

ALL PHOTOS COURTESY OF GUILLAUME PLISSON. W eighing in at 1,600 gross tons, with a length of 64m, five decks, and a maximum beam of 13.10m, 64Steel Attila is the largest yacht produced by Sanlorenzo so far. It is an innovative proposal, thanks to a layout and structures commonly found in large yachts, permitting Sanlorenzo to apply novel solutions to optimise on-board livability, combined with elegant external lines created by Officina Italiana Design. Style and innovation The most important aspect of the definition and concept of the yacht has been the desire to create continuity between the main deck at the stern, with the pool and dining areas, and the beach club on the lower deck, by way of a double staircase. This characteristic makes it possible to fully enjoy both areas, as they are the focal points of life on board. With the transom and lateral platforms open, the beach club – which also contains a sauna, steam bath,

massage room, and fitness zone Au Fil de L’eau covers an exceptionally large area of 78m 2 . The 64Steel offers various stylistic features that distinguish the design from other boats of the same size. There is, for example, the ability to reserve an entire deck for the shipowner, the owner’s deck, which includes the bedroom facing the bow and has a large whirlpool bath outside. Then there is the option to load two big tenders of over 10m in length that can also serve as limousine tenders, thanks to the garage’s height more commonly found in yachts over 80m long with a maximum beam of 13.10m and also more typical of a yacht over 70m long. The helipad for touch and go at the bow which can be turned into an extraordinary solarium when not in use, truly sets Attila apart, as does the fact that an extension from 64m to 70m is also possible, depending on varying requests. The crew area is located on the lower deck and has a private and independent routing with two service stairs and an elevator for the rapid

transfer of cold and dry goods into the storage rooms. Below the lower deck lies the tank deck with a refrigeration chamber, a refrigerated waste room, a multimedia room for the crew, a large laundry, and a climate-controlled ‘wine cellar’ with a capacity of up to 500 bottles. The four guest rooms and the full beam VIP suite are located on the main deck.

the creation of an enormous barbecue for the dining area of the main deck, a request closely connected to the owner’s nationality, an Argentine entrepreneur. The arrangement of an open fire in an enclosed space required the use of A60 fireproof stainless steel and the installation of an advanced smoke removal system.

Decoration The interior of the 64Steel Attila has been furnished and decorated by Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini, who worked in close contact with the shipyard and above all with the client to create a space that would reflect his preferences, featuring natural materials like teak.

The bulkheads in glass and fabric add an extraordinary three-dimensional effect to the different spaces, while backlit onyx helps to create a warm and enveloping atmosphere. Another leitmotif is steel utilised throughout the yacht as a connection between various materials to generate a harmonious relationship with the dominant colors of white, grey, and brown used throughout the yacht. For the furnishings, besides the customdesigned pieces, collaborations with some of the most outstanding Italian and international design firms such as Summit, De Sede, Flexform, and Catellani & Smith, just to name a few, were of fundamental importance.
