Creativity, enthusiasm, and passion are important prerequisites for any success story – and they defnitely are for Yachtlite. When the company frst presented their ideas at Boot Düsseldorf in 2003, they didn’t dare to imagine setting such trends in the yachting sector. Neither did they anticipate that their illuminated names and logos would be implemented many thousands of times throughout the world.

Since 2002, Yachtlite has been constantly setting new trends and standards for perfect LED systems and homogeneous, spot-free illumination of names, logos, and interior design elements. Yachtlite is one of the leading international companies ofering individual lighting solutions for motor and sailing yachts of almost any size and design. Their designs are followed by feasibility research and subsequent solutions with custom-made lighting controls and installation options. This process results in spectacular illuminated pools, dance foors, helicopter decks, stairs, and designer furniture. Around 35% of the top 100 super yachts in the world are equipped with Yachtlite Creative Light Features.

Steady and strong as ever

When looking back at the past two years, the Yachtlite team is very happy with the way they handled the COVID situation. Fortunately, no one in the team got infected, so they feel blessed. In 2021, they equipped and successfully completed a 100+ meter newbuild with a great variety of Yachtlite products, and although there were hardly any relevant trade fairs or events compared to previous years, many big and smaller new customers found their way to Yachtlite. All in all, business has been going well.

Stefan Wienecke, Managing Director of Yachtlite, shares, “Recently, the Project Manager of a large Dutch shipyard visited us for a successful FAT. He emphasized that he could tell that our entire Yachtlite team is on fre, because all our products have been made with a great deal of love and attention to detail. This feedback made us very happy, because it is so true!” Kristin Schädel, Head of Communications, says, “We made the frst Yachtlite product in 2002 and at that moment, the Yachtlite brand was founded. Since then, our company has grown from an initially pure illuminated ‘letter manufacturer’ to leading manufacturer of custom-made lighting solutions for ships of all kinds. Currently, thousands of custom products are installed worldwide, illuminating harbours and, ofen also, lighting up hearts. Naming a ship is ofen an emotional decision and therefore an eminently important detail. Every name, every new product is a prototype build, never mass production. In 2022, there will be many projects worth seeing, not in the least thanks to our creative customers and inspiring yacht designers.”

Successful collaborations

For many years, Yachtlite has been successfully working with some major players in the yacht industry, such as Nobiskrug, Lumishore, Abeking & Rasmussen, Isa Yachts, Merk & Merk Jahte Servis, Lürssen, and Blohm & Voss.
