Race day ready

RACING, fashion and fun are all in store for racegoers at this Saturday’s Mareeba Annuals. With spring in the air, the annual race day will see fashionable fillies and anxious punters all hoping for a win at the glitzy race day. On track clerk of the course, Kellie Buckingham, will not only be making sure that the races run smoothly, but will also be hoping for a win with trainer husband Alex Malliff who together are KBAM Jump and Run. With two hopeful starters on the day, including Ramsden Street (pictured) in the Mareeba Cup, Kellie said “Winning a race at our own annual meeting would be pretty special and if it happened to be the cup, it will make for a great party.”
