mediation of light + mediation on matter 2018 Fall Semester Profs. Lisa Huang & Lee-Su Huang light drawing materials study facade develop 1-1 scale construction MEDIATION OF LIGHT + MEDIATION ON MATTER is a project develop around i ssues o f light, materials and assemblye. L ight i s movement. The i ntent o f the composition drawing i s to capture that essence. I t also t alks about t he c oexistence between the light and dark, and how one needs the other to exist. In addition, the light constantly changes the perception of our eyes and how we see depends on the amount of light received (indirect or direct) to an object. By manipulating light we can shape and define spaces. This drawing, a lso t akes a s a precedent a rchitectural screens and brise-soleil, to express how to capture light and change its shape and intensity0 based on the points of view through the time (day/night). The experimentation part pursues the same idea, by creating shadows we can capture light and its instances. But specifically how the light interact with the surface. By manipulating plaster in a spandex fabric with a frame of wood and balloons, and other materials like concrete, plastic, etc. was able to create a piece that had different depths allowing a playfulness in the lights intensity. The use of an elastic medium in order create a piece that could be as fluid yet have the rigidity of light itself. The dialog between the light and dark is explored by a piece that produces both, showing how one cannot exist without

bukovnisco path visitor center, slo 2015 Spring Semester Profs. Robin Planas & Blanquita Calzada/ Anja Juratz Puerto Rico/ Slovenia Joint Studio Visitor Center Bukovnisco, Slovenia Partners: Fernando Claudio, PR Macarena Fernรกndez, SLO Adrian Porto, SLO The BUKOVNISCO PATH VISITOR CENTER is a group project made in the joint studio Puerto Rico/ Slovenia 2015. The project consists in creating three hotspots around the lake interconnected. Those targets can work together creating a touristic complex able to afford any need, but without losing the previous values and tradition of the place, in fact the goal is to reinforce and improve them. To achieve that goal the architectural project has to be respectful with the precious place, taking care of the topography and greenery, trying to protect the site, being sustainable and taking approach of the energies and the views of the lake.

moontopia competition, mn 2016 September- November Moontopia, An out of this World Challenge. Self Sufficient Lunar Colony Partners Isais Rubert Hillary Morales Isaac Mangual “MOONTOPIA is Eleven’s first international ideas and design COMPETITON on Space Architecture”. To design something literally out of our world, means that we need to start from scratch. The Atom is the base unit that allows the development of everything around us. Mission IOTA behaves in the same way. Join IASA’s (International Aeronautics and Space Association) 6 brave astronauts, from the moment they set foot on the moon to the day they depart for their next expedition. Mission IOTA was conceived as a project of many phases:1 (crater selection, habitable spacecraft, shield protection, research facilities, and the exterior shield) 2 (underground experience) 3 (tunnel network, and gravity rings) and 4 (planetary exploration).
