Until Sophia Al Maria: INVISIBLE LABORS daydream therapy The first large-scale museum 21 Jan 2023 exhibition in the Middle East by Qatari-American artist Sophia Al Maria, inviting discussions on histories, dreams, futures, and the Gulf’s relation to surrounding regions, with installations, videos and soundscapes. Until Taysir Batniji: No Condition is Permanent A reflective space with productions and 21 Jan 2023 reproductions of the artist's work created between 1997 and 2022. While the exhibition’s title refers to a single artwork, on display are a mixture of photography, drawing, video, installation and performance. Part of Qatar–MENASA 2022 Year of Culture. Until Almaha Almaadeed – Inspired by the 28 Jan 2023 Land Artworks questioning the effects of urbanisation in Qatar on re-engagement with nature, contextualising family archives using poetry and oral literature. Until Majaz: Contemporary Art Qatar Exhibition 23 Feb 2023 celebrating five years of the Artist in Almaha Almaadeed, Untitled, from ‘The Palm’ Residence programme at the Fire Station Series, 2020–21, mixed media on palm paper. and the art scene in Qatar. Special operating hours will be in effect until 20 December, and the museum will be closed on 2/6/9 December. Admission: Tickets must be purchased online in advance. There is a free shuttle service between Mathaf and the Museum of Islamic Art, Qatar National Library, and Fire Station: Artist in Residence. The Mathaf stop on the Education City public tram service is approximately three minutes away from the museum. Until 25 Mar Experience Al Jazeera The Al Jazeera Media Network has grown over the past 25 years, from a pioneering TV channel in Qatar to a global media phenomenon. Interactive exhibits include the Studio Experience and the Al Jazeera Immersive section, which explores the use of virtual and augmented reality storytelling techniques in broadcasting.
