UZBEKISTAN Is a doubly landlocked country in Central Asia. It is a unitary, constitutional, presidential republic, comprising twelve provinces, one autonomous republic and a capital city. Uzbekistan is bordered by five landlocked countries: Kazakhstan to the north; Tajikistan to the southeast; Kyrgyzstan to the northeast; Afghanistan to the south; and Turkmenistan to the southwest. Uzbekistan is located in Central Asia on the Great Silk Road. Capital: Tashkent.
1ยบ LAWS ON MOVEMENTS OF TRAVELERS AT BORDERS. Pasaporte / DNI: The Passport in force must have an expiration date of not less than three months from the date of validity of the visado. It is obligatory to register the passport in the police in the first 3 working days of stay in the country. Divisas rules: It can only be paid in the national currency of the country. Travelers should obtain multiple-entry Uzbek visas as well as proper visas for the relevant neighboring countries if needed. Upon departure you must present a copy of the customs declaration. Foreigners must complete a customs declaration in duplicate upon entering Uzbekistan through an airport or overland crossing. Visa Validity and Duration of Stay: Uzbek visas not only indicate the validity of the visa but also the period of time a person is allowed to stay in Uzbekistan on a given trip.
2ยบ FOREIGN CURRENCY AND EXCHANGE. Financial Transactions: Most transactions are conducted on a cash-only, local currency (som) basis. Many merchants accept dollars for larger tourist handicraft purchases. Credit cards are accepted only at the main hotels and a few shops and restaurants. 1 euro = 3530,6 soms
3ยบ EMBASSY AND CONSULATE. Uzbekistรกn has 33 abroad embassies and 19 consulates. There are 44 embassies in Taskent and 7 consulates in total. Embassies have a broader role to play and they represent their government in another nation. Embassies mainly deal with political and diplomatic relations with the host nations. The Embassies also look after the welfare of citizens who are living in that country. The main task of Consulates is to foster trade and maintain commercial links between the two nations. Moreover, the Consulates handle issues relating to visas, passports and also handle tourists and expatriates. The major role of the Consulate is promoting trade like helping companies in the host nation to invest in its country and vice versa.
4º HEALTH RISKS AND SANITARY REQUIREMENTS. The footwear will be wide and ventilated to avoid infections for fungi. Local statistics indicate approximately 93 percent of the population is Muslim, approximately 4 percent of the population is Russian Orthodox, 3 percent includes small communities of Roman Catholics, ethnic Korean Christians...
