Perspectives
A bus shelter with a modular design protects students while they are in transit.
In situ
This modular bus shelter is made up of aluminum elbows manufactured through extrusion that are joined to aluminum honeycomb composite panels through tongue and groove joints secured with adhesive. The bus shelter can adapt to any available space by using composite panels of different lengths and ensembling a shelter that goes accordingly with the site. The bus shelter provides exterior seating area, interior space with a leaning rail and folding chairs, hooks for temporary storage, and interactive screens.

The Hill
A global design, The Hill, fits comfortably with different types of grips on testers of various age groups. The quality of nail painting improved considerably by using The Hill compared to the task being done with handles that are currently available on the market.

Thesis project provides a design for public schools with current trends of education in mind.
Walk-through
Applying trends in education from the XXI Century, this public school houses students from preschool to high school. Flexible spaces accommodate for diverse activities and styles of learning. The interior layout motivates a collaborative environment and a showcase of student work where the space acts as the third educator.

Housing and Public Area
Rainwater Streams Common Area
In Panama there is a huge availability of shipping containers just waiting to be reused. The proposed site is located on the shores of Lake Gatun, it is accessible by land or sea and has an adjacent railroad track; making it perfect to receive incoming containers. This temporary shelter has the capacity to accommodate up to 277 families in case of a disaster. Containers of 20’ and 40’ have been organized by overlapping and shifting them, generating an interwoven housing with public and private spaces around a central courtyard where communal spaces receive its residents. From this central courtyard, circulations are generated along the housing modules marked by channels carrying collected rainwater for its reuse.
