[ about me ]

My architectural journey, as I like to call it, began five years ago. First and more important stop was Spain, where I have lived and studied since then. There I was taught to experiment architecture, to make the best out of the worst, to bring the old back to the modern and introduce life where it does not exist. Throughout the process of making this portfolio I was able to reflect on my years there. I am a strong individual with high potentials and motivation for the future. My goal is to travel as much as I can and learn from whoever offers me the chance to. The experience I have in team work is vast, whilst my recent education is based on long term projects, allowing the development of a broad knowledge of softwares and general/emergent traits related to the contemporary design and production in Architecture. Spending a year in Norway studying in a Landscape Architecture university, has shown me that architecture is not only about the building itself, but also about the conservation and protection of greenery and the public areas. One of the most important experiences I have been through was the internship in Copenhagen. Through the time I spent there I managed to improve several skills such as team work, selection of materiality, decision making, talking with clients and fast production of projects. In the year ahead of me, I am aiming to gain education based mostly on Building Design and Environmentaly Friendly Buildings, always focusing on the future of each of us.

Between Spaces The subjects aims to engage students in order to propose a complete project including architectural and constructional challenges faced in the design process. The proposal is a solution to interweaving the new construction with the historical environment without losing importance and it aims to change the traditional concept of houses “the smaller and more compact more efficient, for apartments that are still small but host all the daily comforts. Elaborated common spaces, where people can be part of a society, having at their disposal a number of activities between which each individual can choose and practice will ensure the active interaction. As part of a bigger picture, vegetation and structure become an inherent part of the architectural project and necessary for the proper transgression between the private and the public.

EMPOWERING THE HANGAR Through an area research of the surrounding program, we discovered that a gathering place for the community was needed. Having the opportunity to work on the area of the former airport of Oslo in Fprnebu peninsula, we decided to keep it as intact as possible in order to maintain the current cultural activities and history, achieving a construction with lower CO2 levels. Our proposal focuses on empowering the existing qualities of the Hangar in order to be able to adapt to the multiple needs of the users. Thus we suggest a new highly densified building in order to keep the Hangar as flexinle as possible. It follows the same dimensions as the Hangar , introducing a sustainable approach to the industrial construction techniques of the old building. This structural solution is based on a CLT and Glue laminated construction. Connecting the two buildings with a unique landscape, we achieve an interaction between them, proposing an easily accesible public space that the area is lacking. Moreover the microclimate created creates a shelter for the high winds of the area. The development of the area is yet to be discovered with all the new urban proposals. We believe that the suggested project could be an anchor to the future, as it will engage more people to alternative ways of working and interacting.
